True anecdote: In late summer 2019, as I was preparing to leave San Francisco (a city I happen to love, BTW) for home, I had a flight that was due to leave SFO at about 6 in the evening. So I'm on my way to the airport, standing on the Powell Street BART subway platform, at about 9 AM....
