Awesome! Congrats--I'm jealous--you met Professor Proton!! I'm so glad Bob Newhart got a recurring guest spot on that show. Anyway, what fun. Epic--sitting in Sheldon's spot.
Dude, that is fucking epic! My wife will be so jealous when she sees this. Congrats!
My workplace (well, one of them). I was barely able to drive out of the parking lot.
So cold you leave the beer out, eh? Oh, wait, they already did.
Today wasn't even that cold. I don't think it ever dropped below 30. Just lots and lots of snow!
But why would anyone go into the bar when there's a giant bucket of beer there, free for the taking?
So I did some experimenting the past couple of days (in terms of where I was to take photos) ... a few of the results:
Great pictures! I like the last two the most.
Those are some very pretty pictures.
Awesome shots. I'm kinda jealous at how much you get out there and snap away.
Thanks for the kind words, everyone!
TheSeeker, truth be told, I really don't get out nearly as often as I would like to take photos (maybe once or twice a month at this rate). But this weekend I went upstate to see family. And since I was a passenger in the car, I figured I'd see what I could capture out the window as we headed up the Thruway at 70mph - which offers some interesting views. The snow certainly helped give everything a bit of personality. But I wish I'd set my shutter speed even faster than the 1/2000th of a second I ended up using (it's tough to tell, in camera, just how sharp the images are). I wound up with some decent shots, but I'd have had even more had I jacked the shutter speed up even further. Still, it was an interesting experiment that I'll try again sometime.
^after seeing too many potential picture shoots going 70 on a sharp curve without a breakdown lane, I really want a camera on the car roof
Because our beer is better on draft.
It's been a while since I've posted some photos here...

Winter in Los Angeles.
Everywhere else, it's called "jogging, uphill." In Los Angeles, we call it "hiking."

I hear TARDISes (TARDI?) get better gas mileage.
I'll be very, very disappointed if doubleoh doesn't get his own sitcom at some point. Hollywood, you're looking a gift geek in the mouth.
But the ride is all wibbly wobbly and it takes too much timey wimey to get where you're going.
But you can always get there before you left.
