PICTURE POST II!

^ Agreed. Either way, C, your eyes are definitely striking. And I don't know how autobiographical the card about bullies was, but if it was (and for those for whom it definitely was), it's a shame that a person's beauty is so often ridiculed simply so that others can feel better about themselves.

Ah, okay! Well, blue or green or somewhere in between they're still stunning looking. Very emotive and photogenic.

Thanks guys!

Sadly, it was. I was a very awkward teen(I'm 32 now). The sign was meant to inspire people being bullied about their looks today. :)

Having taught middle school, I've learned how integral being awkward is part of adolescence (part of learning how to handle a more mature body, intellect, social setting, and emotional experience). The thing is, some teens do have it easier than others (for a whole variety of reasons) and, sadly, some of them use their positions of prominence to boost themselves by putting others down. I've seen first-hand just how traumatic (and long-lasting) that bullying can be.

I admire you for being at a point where you can use your experiences as an inspiration for others. Being able to do so is, dare I say ... a thing of beauty.

You do have stunning eyes, C, and those are lovely pictures all around! My younger sister has strikingly blue eyes, and my older sister has strikingly green eyes; I was alway a bit envious of them. Mine are a sort of moldy green baby poo color.

A shower and shave can be so refreshing. It's been a really depressing weekend for me.Things have not gone well at all, and important relationships are now in tatters with no explanation. But I'm clean, smart, looking good and I'm about to tear Moday apart!!!! The face of a winner folks.

Edit- that may have come across a bit aggressive. I've just been pretty down and out lately and the shower and shave and promise of a new week made me feel really positive again.

You're my beauty mark twin! It's always fun to find new beauty mark twins!

Shh! TSQ, we don't want anyone to learn of our secret society. The cake and punch, movie days, popcorn fights......They're just not ready, not prepared to accept it....

You mentioned it before and I didn't see it at the time, but you ARE right.

You do look like actor Jason Mewes. Quite a bit. :)

I don't remember who originally brought that up on this board....but after looking at various photos, I've resigned myself to this fact.

As a photog enthusiast in NYC, I'm sure you're familiar with Adorama on 18th St. ... Books of Wonder is on the same block, maybe five stores down from it, as you're heading toward 5th Ave.

Actually we just moved here last August so we're still getting to know the city. I wasn't aware of Adorama so thanks for the info.

Hey, it could be much, much worse. Jay is a beloved pop culture icon.

It's better than looking like a dictator or notorious politician.

Or Carrot Top.

^I like that last one a lot!

I need to get to the Bronx Zoo. I've only ever been there with a shit ton of little schoolchildren to manage, which is wonderful in its own exhausting way, but doesn't give much time for watching the (other) animals.

Thanks everyone! Shanndee, the Bronx Zoo is a great place if you're a fan of the big cats (they also have a snow leopard exhibit - see below for a photo from a previous trip). And TSQ, I've been there with a group of students (Kindergarteners) and as much fun as it is watching their reactions, there's something about being able to explore on your own, too.
