Whist he's still giving me some Armus vibes, I can defintely see your suggestion fitting in other words too.For some reason, I find myself wondering if The Face is, of all people,Enterprise’s Future Guy. He’s worked with shapeshifters before, and his plan seems weirdly specific about Frontier Day…
What if it's, y'know, actually CONTROL?Whist he's still giving me some Armus vibes, I can defintely see your suggestion fitting in other words too.
However, I'm also thinking of the old "resistance is useless" thing from Control in Disco S2. That was a red herring, and keep thinking a lot of parallels in either of these might be the same.
I would appreciate the surprise though. I've been looking for realistic (or unrealistic ways) to bring back the original cast. Considering this season has to do with AI and stuff like that I could see the most realistic character returning being Soji. The face hasn't said "Vadic -- choose to live!" yet, so I doubt it's Elnor.
I don't know about Vadic, but I feel sympathy for Amanda Plummer who is trying to deliver a decent performance, but unfortunately the character is literally written as "Generic Trek Movie Villain" not leaving much room for any actor to do anything interesting with the role.Didn’t Matalas say we might feel some sympathy for Vadic?
The actual Control. Not whatever that rubbish was from Discovery. What if it's, y'know, actually CONTROL?![]()

Not how this works. The actual Control. Not whatever that rubbish was from Discovery.
Or Janet Jackson.Maybe the ghost of Don Adams can show up to represent the real CONTROL![]()
I mean the version portrayed from the novels. It’s a very different beast.Maybe the ghost of Don Adams can show up to represent the real CONTROL![]()

I suppose they could have had her quoting Shakespeare instead...Yeah Vadic has so far been the worst aspect of season 3 for me. The quirky evil schtick and spouting random nonsense like 'chase fast enough, hunt well enough, open the jaw wide enough and eventually the prey runs right into the mouth of the beast' is getting old fast.
