Anyone know of a good .PDF converter that is free to download (so I can convert Excel files to PDF's), that does not have a bunch of shit and spam attached to it?

I would really appreciate it, Thanks in advance Bill
this can be deleted, My boss put me on to a good one,

I've tried several, they're crap, but none as mentioned above, so thanks for that. Also, if you have access to Office 2010, it's pretty good too.

Maybe I missed something you said, but you should be able to do so by clicking on Print. When the print box opens, click on "Open as PDF" (see the "PDF" button) on bottom left of the box. It will open in preview where you can save a copy as a PDF document.

I just tried it with a project I'm working on. It works just fine.

So why not clue the rest of us in to what your boss suggested?

This is the one he suggested
Link
we used to use it at work Until windows 7 was installed.
You'll want the 1.7.2

Its free.

Not with Vista and my Office 2003. ( I know I need to Update)

OpenOffice has built-in PDF exporting, though not sure if that works on the spreadsheet end of things.

It does. And I think Libre Office is the better version of Open Office right now. But doesn't MS Office have this feature now as well?

Now that I have it the only thing its doing is converting anything I try and print eg; I tried to print an envelope last night and it wanted to convert it to a PDF.
I can't figure out how to turn it off from doing that.

Windows has a tendency to make the last installed printer the default printer. Find your devices and printers, then you should be able to right click on your primary printer and select default.

Did that it seems to be fixed, thank you.

What version of Excel are you using?

Office 2003

I find Cute PDF very convenient. To applications it looks just like a printer. It works with a wide variety of applications from Office 97 to Firefox and even Notepad. Just use whatever procedure that the program uses to print. Cute PDF displays an ordinary "Save As..." dialog so you can control where to save the PDF and its name.

Office 2003

Ah. Might be time to upgrade if this is a feature you are going to be using a lot. It's very easy to use in Excel 2010.

Need to upgrade from Vista too, just cant afford it right now.
but I think I have this figured out for now to do what I need.
Thank you all for your help.
Bill.

With the widespreadedness of Windows 8 now, you might be able to find a Windows 7 machine fairly cheap. Quite a good OS. Better than Vista.
