I sympathize with the filmmakers wanting to not give away their entire story before the film is even made. They seem to be caught in a very hard-to-escape-from trap.

They may have to compromise at least a little and give more detailed spoilers to spark funding (as several others have said).

I'm a bit wary what with very little idea of dialogue/acting ability of the actors. However, it's only money. I just threw them $25.

I have a couple of questions:

1) would you happen to have a render of the full body of the spacesuit that appears in some images? I found the "head and shoulders" shot already.

2) Is the heavy shuttle on your FB page the same one seen detaching in some of your promo images, etc? If so, where do the smaller shuttlepods you talk about in the specs dock?

I just plugged them into Kicktraq and while nothing's sure before it happens, that's predicting they just squeeze in.

Not having anything other than "hey look at this neat/new/revolutionary concept" back-patting is hurting them. Doubly so because they're a new production with no track record.

Agreed--just a snippet of 30-45 seconds of some crew interaction would likely tilt the scales on what otherwise is a top-notch production.

Even just a blurb like on the back of a novel would help.. Something like


"Captain Demir was once a soldier for Starfleet in the Romulan wars. Now that the war is over he's commanding ship with half a crew that's been trained for battle and half who have only known the comfort that was afforded to those behind the lines.

When they face the unknown, It's a battle for the ship's heart when they must decide if they fall back on their history as soldiers or move on to something else"



Of course I have no idea what the film will be about but there has to be something they can throw out to get us excited about the plot.

It looks like they will make their goal. they need $1,700 right now with three days to go.

You can say a lot about a film's characters without giving away the farm. For instance, I was asked to write a 1-page synopsis for a feature film project and hit all the major characters without spoiling anything that happens (link).

Good to see this. Hope they had a few contingency plans in lieu of stretch goals. I mentioned earlier that they might need them! This is a very promising project and I am following it with great interest.

I somehow missed this thread, but thanks to the promotion on the Axanar website I watched the video and made a pledge. I don't think it's a great Kickstarter script, but they certainly are passionate and that's worth a few bucks to me. Good luck to this production.
