No idea where to post this, but I realized something yesterday.
You see, I had my first epee lesson last night (I've been fencing foil for almost two years). Through my coach during that lesson, I learned that epee is one of the deepest mind games ever. More so than foil or saber.
Driving home, I thought of Picard and his fencing. In the first season, they showed him fencing saber. Picard doesn't seem much a saber fencing (unless you're counting Action Picard). In the sixth season, they showed him fencing foil (that, I could see). But epee? Captain Picard would be a seriously brilliant epee fencer.
And Beverly? She should fence. She's a dancer and has long legs and she's smart to boot. Makings for a great fencer! Long legs means long lunge, dancing means grace.
...and back to your unscheduled slash fest... *bows out*
