P/C: our thread is eternal

^^^ Nevertheless, it is good you didn't release the raunchier ones - those are better for completely personal viewing (and not for public viewing). ;)

P/C: We are not politically correct

<is rather entertained by watching the guys watch Gates McFadden and Woah Nellie chime in about Picard again> Well, I've said it before, but I feel like saying it again. You guys and gals can go have your fun in sickbay or the ready room. I'll be in main engineering. ;)

I'm slightly embarassed to be second in that last count, but at least I'm almost 200 posts behind the top of the list.

I agree with mackillian... and now about that moment in Picard's ready room when Odan asks him those personal questions about Beverly. The look on his face is priceless after Odan leaves. Like a ton of bricks has just fallen on him. I think that's the very moment when he realises that he can't let her go... and why. For me that is the Episode that marked the change in their relationship, what do you reckon?

Yeah... it was almost an "Oh god, she can't leave, I haven't said anything yet! I thought I'd have forever!" kind of look.

Bev's not the only one who likes to check out the competition (see Vash's tour of the Enterprise, Nella's treatment in sickbay).

^Yep that's very true, but I think Picard's moment in "the Host" was far more visceral. Beverly almost showed a joking tolerance for his dalliances.. except when it came to Ms Darren

^She was almost nudging Picard in Darren's direction, until Nella was a little too successful. She reminded Picard that Darren's name was "Nella" at breakfast and then intentionally left them alone at the concert. But, oopsy, the gal got too far and Bev glared when no one was looking.

^ hee.. and you truly captured the moment Scatta! But that was just it with Beverly, wasn't it? As long as the woman wasn't a real threat everything was fine. But Picard went and fell for her...

 Did someone mention fun in the readyroom?

This is one of my favorite screencaps. I love the expression on Picard's face.

^ Very nice. We may disagree about the intensity of the Vash relationship; but in this thread we are truly The Picard Fans.

 Yes, we are! And proud of it! :D I'm glad you enjoyed the pic.

Okay, on the subject of Picard-as-Host fanfic: I can't track it down online (and of course, it'd help if I knew what it was called...) I think it was written by either Admiral TAG or Althea Katz. I'll keep looking.

And to whoever mentioned Beverly-as-Host, does anyone else recall the series of zine stories from a few years back where it was Bev, not Jean-Luc, who had been Borged?

So, is this really just a random discussion thread, kinda like a forum bar or something?
No, it's really a P/C thread where the posters occasionally, or not so occasionally, discuss things other than P/C. Or sometimes we get posters like MrsPicard or WhoaNellie, who can't stand P/C but stick around anyway in order to discuss Picard.

That's how I see the thread anyway. Corrections and arguments welcome.

Willsbabe, I'll give it a search as well, at least using those author names.

Naraht, I agree with you. This thread seems to have been more derailed than previous ones, even after attempts to get it back on somewhat of a track.
