M.A.S.K and Thundercats please.
Jason of Star Command..... a childhood favorite of mine, made into a much more seriously taken sci-fi action/space fantasy adventure movie. Not dark or stark sci-fi.... just a good action/adventure romp.... or perhaps a movie series.![]()

Sapphire and Steel!
Reportedly, there's a new TV version in the works.
The first three books (the Chronicles trilogy) would make three very excellent movies. And since there's a part of the second novel that's an elaborate dream sequence foreshadowing the major events of the third novel, they could substitute the events that are just mentioned in passing in the form of a poem (the journey to Icewall - really expand that part). Also (because I didn't mention it) I also support seeing some Dragonlance movies, at least of the first trilogy. The series goes a bit confusing after that, but the first Dragonlance trilogy (along with the later books that filled in gaps in the first trilogy) could be adapted into some very good movies if done by the right people.
A Gift From Earth would be so right for these times, with the whole thing about the politics and ethics of forced organ donation - and the tyranny of a system where crime isn't punished by prison - it's punished by death and organ harvesting.Larry Niven's 'Tales of Known Space' - starts off with a good conventional approach to exploring and settling our Solar System and then expands into the rest of the universe with some of the best alien races ever written.
I once read Mid-Flinx (the novel where Pip and Flinx end up on Midworld - the planet that's all one huge jungle and the plants have ingenious and horrible ways of killing their prey or propagating). The book gave me the absolute creeps. And then that night I had trouble sleeping, so I decided to put in a tape of mood music.Allen Dean Foster's 'Flinx' series. A young boy brought up as an orphan finds out he is the product of genetic engineering with the potential to affect to course of history.
Gargoyles.
Seriously.
How has this hot happened yet?
That looks kind of fun, in a goofy, cheesy kind of way. Is it available on DVD or streaming anywhere?I'd love to see what a movie remake could do with Otherworld.
Then again, it might not even need a "remake" as such. With very little rewriting, Otherworld could easily be made part of the Stargate franchise.
I'm a HUGE Sigma Force fan, and Rollins did say something about a TV or movie adaptation being the works a year or two ago, but I don't know what became of it.The Sigma Force book series from James Rollins.
It's a bit James Bond meets Indiana Jones in that a secret government agency is enlisted to protect the unusual found within antiquity and secure any and all arcane powers that ancient science had that we've lost.
Not sure if it could separate itself from what its similar to or if people would just call it a Warehouse 13 ripoff(first book was '04 though) but I'd kinda like to see it tackled.
Xena, please.
