I never saw Blake's 7. But if they did a remake, maybe they would finally release the original on DVD in the US.
I'd love to see a movie version of The Moon Is a Harsh Mistress. However, I have very little faith that Hollywood would do any justice to the book's underlying libertarian philosophy. Also, I'm not entirely sure how they'd do all of the stuff with the Moon's light gravity. I think maybe they'd need to do it as a photo-realistic CGI film, like Robert Zemeckis' Beowulf.
Give it the "Game of Thrones" treatment on HBO or the like but without the added expense of bringing back the whole cast every season. Should make for a solid 3-4 year series adapting the first handful of actually decent books.
I've never seen Game of Thrones, so I'm not sure of what you mean.
It would be interesting to see an adaptation of God Emperor of Dune.
To me, the SciFi Dune mini series of Dune and then Children of Dune (which was technically Dune Messiah and CoD) were the ultimate Dune adaptations. I honestly don't think they could be adapted better. I mean, I'm not against other attempts, but as far as I'm concerned we've already gotten near perfect adaptations of the first few books.

On CoD, I have to say, it was like the first three quarters of the mini-series were really, really close to the novels, while the finale was something completely different.

His earlier "Greg Mandel" trilogy, about a cybernetically-enhanced detective in a tropical, post-global warming Britain, has potential, too.

You are literally the first person I have ever heard say a good thing about the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen movie, and something bad about the Watchmen comic.
I can't really remember if the ending of CoD was different, I need to watch that one again (I have Dune but not CoD, the DVD is extremely expensive
). I did like the changes I do remember in CoD, though. Having Leto and his sister be older was good, I don't think hiring age appropriate kids (I think they're maybe 9-12 in the book?) would have worked better, and James McAvoy was great.

It had something to say about confidence, self image and feeling less than useful. And it was hardly a major plot point. It was an 'aside'.
Not every story has to be uplifting and inspirational. Darker stories and themes are also worthy of exploration.
Sometimes you want Frank Capra or George Lucas. Other times you want Alfred Hitchcock or David Lynch . . . .
