Spoilers Orphan Black Season 4 Discussion

I still haven't figured out which company/organization is the main one responsible for everything, they keep jumbling it around)

I think Neolution is the big bad. That seems to be where season 3 was headed and they've only kept going with it in season 4 so far.

It is interesting that the Neolutionists were brought up in Season 1 and then kind of brushed aside. I do get the sense that they don't have the entire story line planned out, but at the same time what they're coming up with feels like it's fitting in just fine.

I wouldn't be surprised if, at the end of the day (when they are done with all five seasons) that the story will make sense and will be a fun watch.

Btw, that is the plan right? A five season story? I don't remember reading anywhere that it was definitely confirmed, but at the same time that seems to be the consensus.

I think the 5 year plan is still in place. It was going to be a movie / miniseries but then they thought a 5 year plan would work best. Nothing is confirmed through but I would think they would stick with it. Maybe pull a AMC and do a 13 episode season 5 and split it in half.

I get this sense that this season feels like a course correction from the previous seasons. Yeah we still have a castor clone, and that's ok, but we don't have the proleatheans anymore and this story so far feels more tight. I'm sure we will see the proleatheans again but if not I won't shed any tears.

I still like where the Felix story is going, but that can't be his biological sister. If it is, I hope the writers have a good explanation for it because it seemed a little easy to find her..

Finally all caught up. There is no way Felix gets to have a biological sister that is not deeply connected to all the shit everyone else is connected to. Just as he thought he was out they'll pull him back in.

Well, I guess Cosema is an accessory to murder now. No way around that. Better dispose of that head - somehow...

I wonder where they are keeping it. They have to fill in the garage pretty quick before the cops do another visit so I assume they have it somewhere.. cold?

Where is the rest of Leaky?

I was disappointed by the lack of Leekie puns when he was still alive, but now that he's a decomposing corpse I wasn't exactly looking forward to them any more. It's enough that his face remains uncannily resemble Matt Frewer.

“Hey, we'll no longer have you on a show, except for a couple of flashbacks, but we'll need your face mould for this decomposing corpse likeness of yours...” Imagine hearing that at your job?

They all are---accessories after the fact. But considering all the death and mayhem that goes on in their lives, one more body doesn't seem all that big a deal.

PS...has anyone watched the after-show, "After the Black?" Wow, it's pretty bad. The hosts are painfully over the top, with fake smiles and bad prom outfits. Last night, hubby and I could NOT stop laughing because actor Joel Thomas Hynes (Dizzy) was on, sitting between two other actors, and you have NEVER seen anyone soooo not give a fuck. Either he was stoned out of his mind or just really, really did not want to be there. At one point, he was just staring angrily right into the camera, not saying a word. The hosts just didn't ask him anything after awhile. I have a feeling there was some creative editing going on. If you haven't seen it, it's worth a look, just to see a perfect example of how NOT to do a chat show. :guffaw:

That was a great episode. So the bots have the ability to change Dna but to what. The bright born ad was eerie.

Also loved MK's story even though this almost feels like we won't see her again. It's a shame because I feel more can be done with her story.

The stuff with Donnie and Felix was nice but where is Helena going? That scene with Ave Maria was really sad but I'm worried about her now.

I was really hoping we got something on Delphine this week. Next week will be the half way point and that part of the finale is starting to feel ignored. With everything else going on its starting to feel like an afterthought and that's a shame.

Rachel and Susan's story didn't go that far but I'm worried about Charlotte. She's too young to die.

"And only a fluffy frittata will she abide!"

This episode was soooo quote worthy..

"I'M ARRIVING!"

Found myself rather attracted to Dizzy despite him having neck tattoos which are the epitome of shit.

Got irritated with Finland being called Scandinavia, it is not. Ferdinand speaks Finnish to MK, that was interesting.

"Little science babies.. forgive me." Oh. So sad. So touching. What a wonderful character Helena is.

This season is very tight. It's excellent. It's the best of television.

When the Helena chopped the drug dealers, I was wondering how the embryos could be still intact if the container isn't fuming any more. Well, now we know, they were never intact in the scenes where Helena carried them. And now I see these scenes differently.

I was worried by the previews that Helena might knowingly destroy embryos that would eventually prove valuable by burying/starving them of liquid nitrogen, but I had underestimated her (and the show), and I am glad that wasn't the case at all.

Instead I cried.

I hope the red X's MK put over people's faces doesn't mean that Marion Bowles is dead. I was hoping to see Michelle Forbes return.
