Original classic foe returning to series 10!! SPOILERS

Supposedly, the original Cybermen had multicoloured tubing; it .came in a variety of colours, and so long as it looked ok on the black and white cameras there was no reason to repaint it.
The lack of colour photos means this has never been confirmed either way.

Now, I might have had one of the original cybermen escape--an individual who somehow had manipulated later models into finding subjects so he could re-assert more...earthly tastes. A More chilling villain.

Well we have the Mondas Cybermen, it appears from rumours that the "New" Cybermen have the Cybus Industries "C" on the chest, and also the return of the Ice Warriors seems to see the return of the Commander Type last seen on Peladon. There also seems to have been a glimpse of what appears to be a Movellan in the trailer. If so they're pulling out the stops to give Capaldi a great send-off that appeals to his inner fanboy.

Cybes-wise, they have the Cybus and Nightmare/Death In Heaven versions at least. The Ice Warrior is an Ice Lady, female version of the Peladon Ice Lords, and yeah, there were Movellans in the Xmas trailer. I suspect the latter are just going to be a blink and you miss it cameo, though.

The cynic in me thinks this is all the result of Moffat, burned out and not knowing what else to do for a season he doesn't even want to produce, just resorting to fanwank, because hey, it'll get the fans excited. We may end up with something like Enterprise's final season, which certainly has its advantages.

Maybe it is, but whatever reason at least they're expanding the use of the back-catalogue from the Daleks and Cybermen which can only ever be a good thing as the youngsters are introduced to these old adversaries for the first time.

Yeah, at this point a "fanwank" season would be fine with me. If its done even mildly well (which I think it will be, because series 9 was ok), it could be fun. It would be nice if Capaldi could go out with a fun, entertaining series.
