Spoilers Once Upon a Time Season 7

That was a pretty good finale. It was nice to see all the original main characters return-- Emma just made a cameo, unfortunately, but the Charmings played a large part in the story.

Both Rumpy and Regina got great endings to their stories, with Rumpy making out especially well. By sacrificing himself in a surprise move, he not only wiped out Wish Rumpy, but saved Hook (and ended his curse), and was reunited with Belle in the afterlife. And the former Evil Queen is now the first democratically elected leader of all the combined realms embedded in Storybrooke-- which was kind of like Disney's Magic Kingdom on steroids.

Jacinda and Lucy kind of got pushed to the sidelines in favor of the traditional favorites, but at least they are now included in the Storybrooke family, as are Robin and Alice (and the original Robin even got to make an appearance.

Like the series always did (well, mostly did), the grand finale revolved around the messages of hope and redemption-- and even though it gave us satisfying conclusions to the characters' story arcs, it left the door open for many more stories. And even if those stories never get told, we're left with the knowledge that they're all still out there, living honorable lives and fighting evil when it comes calling.

Gold's death was fairly obvious from the moment he maggiced up his hand to do a heartectomy. No "tale as old as time" theme for Belle/Gold at the end either, presumably because Gold is now no longer the beast, but at least he got his happy ever after ending.

I'm guessing the extras in the corronation scene were production crew?

Which Zelena was it, the one from 2016 Story Brooke, or the one from San Francisco who got happily married? Decided not to worry about those questions and the various paradoxes therein.

I didn't see Archie at the corronation?

I'm wondering how all the realms are able to fit inside Storybrook. Is it kind of like the TARDIS now? It's pretty cool and it looks like a Disneyland Storybrooke themed park. Regina started off as the Evil queen and now she's The Good Queen...just a nice beautiful ending.
That sequence does look like a commercial for Disneyworld.

I know it's a really unlikely, but I wonder if with Roseanne being cancelled that ABC would decide to bring OUAT back. I mean, that leaves a slot to unexpectedly be filled so it's not impossible.

I'm thinking by the time we got to the very last scene we had probably reached the point where the past versions were gone.
I finally watched the finale earlier this week and I loved it, pretty much every character's end was perfect.
Rumple sacrificing himself to save Hook was a nice surprise, and a great way to show that he had truly become a hero. His reunion with Belle was a great moment.
It was fun getting to see all of the original characters again, although I was a bit disappointed we got such a small cameo for Emma.
Bringing all of the realms together in Storybrooke was really cool and I'm disappointed they're ending things there, it just has so much potential for stories. We've gotten both novel and comics tie-ins, so I have my fingers crossed that someone might decide to do some more stories in one or both of those formats.
I loved Regina being elected as the united realms Good Queen.

Towards the end of the series, I created a timeline of events to try to make sense of the show's chronology. As strange as this may sound, I usually keep a journal of my favorite TV series. ;) I've also done family trees, synopses, character descriptions, etc.

Thousands of years ago: Gothel is deceived by humans, her kind wiped out. She vows revenge on humanity.

30 years ago: Gothel traps Rapunzel inside a tower to punish her from having stolen flowers from Gothelxsgarden.

18 to 20 years ago: After Rapunzel escapes, Gothel seduces Wish Hook and gives birth to a child Alice, who becomes trapped inside the tower to take her place.

12 to 15 years ago: Zelena gives birth to Baby Robin (Margo) in Storybrooke. 18-year-old Henry Mills goes to college and starts exploring different realms.

9 to 10 years ago: Henry (around 23 - 24) meets Cinderella (Jacinda) from another realm. They fall in love and have a baby girl, Lucy. He is joined by Regina and Wish Hook.

Now: After another curse is cast, Henry, Ella, Lucy, Regina, Wish Hook, Alice, Zelena, Margo, Gold, Tiana, Drizella, Lady Rapunzel are all transported into the modern-day neighborhood of Hyperion Heights in Seattle, given new memories and identities.

At the beginning of the season, I was under the impression that 15 years had passed since the events of the Season 6 finale, giving the viewers a future setting. We know now Season 7 was directly linked to modern day Storybrooke.

Did they ever finish the story of how Snow and Charming became King and Queen? That always felt like the missing link of the saga.

That timeline isn't accurate; however, your original impression was.

Season 7 spanned a huge amount of time, stretching from thousands of years in the past to at least the mid-2030s and back into 2017/2018.
