Spoilers Once Upon a Time season 6

I am just wondering how Gold and Hook will work without their mates, unless they are demoted to recurring.

ANd did they really need to get an older Henry? The way he has grown over the years...he just needs some facial hair, and he's believable as an adult. (unless he wanted to quit and go to college)...though "Gareth" so far sounds like a believable older version of Henry

I thought it'd be prudent and helpful to list everything that we currently know about Season 7:

- The season's primary narrative will focus on Henry (Andrew J. West) and his daughter Lucy (Alison Fernandez) and their quest to restore hope, aided by Captain Hook (Colin O'Donahue), The Evil Queen (Lana Parilla), and Rumplestiltskin (Robert Carlyle)

- Jennifer Morrison will reprise her role as Emma Swan in the first episode of the season

- Ginnifer Goodwin, Josh Dallas, Jared Gilmore, Emile de Ravin, and Rebecca Mader have stated that they are all willing to return to the series in a guest-starring capacity if/when the narrative calls for it, something which has also been corroborated by Adam and Eddy

- The first episode of the season will introduce us to Lucy's mother - who will be a fariy-tale character - and set up/establish the "epic true love" between her and Henry

- The season will begin with Hook, The Evil Queen, and Rumple having fallen victim to a brand-new Curse that will see them trapped in a brand-new location under new false identities

- The season will see the introduction of brand-new story realms and fairy-tale characters, and the return of old characters

- Filming on the season begins in July, and additional Series Regular casting news should be expected at some point between now and then

- The season's narrative is very much informed by what happened in Seasons 1 through 6, with Adam and Eddy beginning to discuss narrative possibilities for where they could go with the series beyond Season 6 nearly a year ago

Well, that was a pretty good ending. At least all those alternate dimensions popped back into existence. That would have been the most horrifying holocaust of all time if they had let it stand. I'm not sure exactly how letting herself get sworded in the tummy allowed Emma to both survive and turn Gideon back into a newborn baby-- or what lesson we are to derive from this-- but it was a nice magical happy ending suitable for a Fairy Tale show. I enjoyed the montage of many, if not all, of the characters we've seen over the years being happy and ever afterful in their various lands. I wonder if some characters were not shown because of time constraints-- and perhaps will show up in an extended episode on the DVD-- or if they just couldn't get the actors. It was painfully obvious that the Robin Hood actor was not available, though they got around that rather cleverly. It was interesting that so many characters chose to spend their existence in Storybrook rather than in their land of origin.

And then there was the teaser. History is apparently repeating itself to some degree. I'm slightly intrigued. But, being a stickler for detail, I have to wonder what year we're looking at. Even if OUAT happened in compressed time, it still had to have taken three or four years, so the teaser has to be six or seven years in the future. Hopefully they'll spend a lot of time in imaginary lands and avoid continuity conflicts with reality. :rommie:

Actually it would have to be significant;y more than that, unless Henry got someone pregnant at a VERY young age. Let's assume Henry had a somewhat normal romance--how old would he be when he got this girl pregnant? Let's still make him young and say 25. If the mother is pregnant when Henry is 25, and Henry is about 14 in the last episode then we already jumped 11 years. Now add another 11 years so that the baby has time to get born (9 months) and age 10 years herself. So realistically, this time jump has to be around 20-25 years.

I read the positive comments here and watched the last episode of the season, even though I gave up OUAT months ago. I actually enjoyed it. I found it very decent and I was glad to see a nice episode of OUAT after all this time of boring ones.

But didn't she grow up in the story book lands....so maybe that would explain the quick aging..or maybe sent back in time?

I felt the same. In fact, I liked the finale so much (to a certain degree) that I'm willing to give Season 7 a chance.

Jared Gilmore did say he (the actor) was 10 when the series started in 2012, and now he's 16. If Henry fathers a child at age 20, then "future Henry" could be 30 years old in the next season, which makes it about 13 - 14 years into the future.

Edit: The show premiered in 2011, so that makes it 5 years as of last year..

Apparently Henry is 14 as of The Final Battle, even though he should be at least 15 by this point.

Adam and Eddy apparently said that the Seattle scene takes place 10 years after the montage scenes that happen just before the flash-cut to said scene, but I haven't actually seen any articles mentioning this comment, so make of that what you will.

Good points, although I don't think it has to be that bad. If Henry is 16 now and he impregnates the mom at age 18 (since this is a family show and not either of the hospitals or teen shelter where I used to work :rommie:), add a rounded off year for the pregnancy, and then ten for the age of his daughter, we've got about 13 years. How will they depict the world of 2030? What are the fashions? What does the music sound like? What do the self-driving cars look like?
