It's weird how right Pine, Quinto and Saldana look in the monster maroons. They did an incredibly good job casting the Abrams films.

Yes I agree. Those uniform were/are the official 'Star Trek Movie uniform.' Yet not one has been seen on the big screen since 1994

I would find TMP to be much more bearable to watch if they had used those uniforms instead of the dull beige and grey pajamas.

The maroons are "busy" uniforms, but God help me, I like them. I think it's because Nimoy and Shatner wore them so well. Especially Nimoy.

That artwork is very good, though I think they characters should have been aged for the TWOK poster. Maybe this is reaching, but I wonder if we will get some IDW comics with such settings.

And I love the TMP uniforms because of the boldly different vision of the future that they represent. They actually look like the kind of thing that astronauts in a future society with completely different sensibilities and tastes from our own would wear centuries from now in a controlled environment in which everything is computerized and your clothes are beamed directly on and off of you as part of your everyday routine.

I hate the stuffy red wool suits with a vengeance.

I love these. It would be great if they would eventually continue the poster series through the rest of the TOS-era films.

I agree that Cucumberpatch-Khan seems a bit disinterested on his cover. Not very Khan-like. More like he's posing for a J. Crew catalog than a JJ Crew poster. Needs more moob cleavage and mullet.



Also, they got rid of the tiny people running out of Khan's flaming crotch while Spock mockingly points at them, which is an outrage. #NOTMYSTARTREK

I think the problem is they're just so over-designed. And there's just too much red. Even the Red Surge does more to break up the constant sea of red. When there are a bunch of Mounties standing together, the shoulder straps and hats really make a big difference.
