Old Issue: We Don't Use money

If I describe an action as being done to suit one's prejudices, I mean that from where I stand, important information is being dismissed because it doesn't fit the patter that one is trying to create. That's an attack against the argument, not the man. What you did versus what you are.
Well, I would disagree with the assertion that "prejudice" primarily represents a physical action. "Judging" is, in fact, entirely a matter of attitude and thought, not one of action. The action follows on from the attitude... provided certain circumstances exist.

For example... a particular Austrian house painter, had he remained nothing but a house painter, may have never been in a position to put his personal prejudices into effect. He may have been forced to behave "nicely" towards Jews who were his customers, because he'd need their business, and would have to "fake it."

Put him into the position of Chancellor of his nation, under the National Socialist Workers Party of Germany, however, and he's in a position to start acting on those prejudices.

To me, the prejudices would be no more or less real in either case, regardless of whether or not any actions ever came from them.
One of the reasons I made that claim was your leap from central resource management to tyranny. That is prejudice. There's nothing inherent in communism that demands tyranny.
And I don't see it as a "leap" at all, but it's possible I failed to explain that sufficiently so you do see it as a "leap."

Any "central planning" structure inherently, and by definition, means that there is greater centralized power... in fact, that's merely a restatement of the concept in other terms, isn't it?

Any form of government which seeks centralized control must consolidate control within itself in order to achieve that.

That's so obvious that I felt it didn't need to be stated, but perhaps it's not as clear to others as it is to me, so if there is any point of dispute on that, we'll need to address that first.

If you concur with that, then I'll continue. If not, we'll need to get past that point first, won't we?

Okay, I get it now... reading "Maverisms" last post tone (where he continues to denigrate the other perspective and insult and so forth... much more openly now that C.C. has recruited the "Neutral Zone crowd" to come in and start targeting...

You guys can have this thread. You've silenced the opposition. Now, if you guys follow true to form, you'll start following me from thread to thread, trying to "troll" an argument every time. And then get one of your buds, like "M'Sharak," to issue "warnings" if I respond.

Seen it before. Been used on lots of folks here, over and over. Driven away some mods, and plenty of members.

I've seen myself attacked personally, and people try to get under my skin by criticizing my design work. (By the way, that whole "dustbuster" thing is also from that same "neutral zone" thread.) And the next step, a tried-and-true one (and the real point of the "neutral zone" thread, really, isn't it?) is to try to pick fights and get a hostile response, so that one of the mods in question can take the one-sided response and get a "ban" into place.

And then the "acolytes" will all feel joy for having driven away someone they personally don't like.

It's pathetic.

Maverisms, you at least have been trying to have a conversation. Up until your last post, I was enjoying the discussion, even though we were both being critical of each other's positions.

But with the "backup" arriving, it seems that's done. So, I guess so is this thread, huh?

Not sure how I've missed this, but RL has been a distraction these past few days. :p Cary, despite attempts by both of you to get back to the OT (which I do appreciate), you know better than this. What happens in TNZ stays in TNZ, and I think you drew some inferences that nobody was making. Infraction for trolling.

Perhaps this particular topic is really best suited to GTD anyway, since much of the discussion here has been on the basis of economics and not technical issues.

I'm closing this for now. TheBrew:

Did you inhale a good amount particles from a dustbuster while you were doing reference work for your designs?

You know better than this too. Infraction for trolling.
