I like the show much better now than I did when it originally aired. Maybe a little time away from Trek helped, or it's just that much better than I originally thought. Season two is by far the worst of the bunch, but season 3 and 4 make up for it. Season one struggles a bit, but if you put it up against the first season of TNG, I think ENT season one comes out on top.
Archer is a might strange character. I really want to like the guy, and that goes in large part to Scott Bakula's personality, but some of the decisions Archer makes are unprofessional and completely beyond reason. A Night in Sickbay is a good example of this. On the other hand, Phlox, Trip, and Shran great characters that fit well in the Trek universe.
