My first choice.Or you could just reboot the whole thing.
My second choice.just do what TNG did.

Lower DecksI'm sure Section 31 will be broadcast this year. Because once DSC ends, what else is P+ going to show for the rest of the year Star Trek content-wise?
Nothing in that quote says that.SNW is not going to last five seasons:
I mean…we will get S5 of Lower Decks.
just do what TNG did. Set the show 80 years after Picard on a new starship Enterprise, with an all new crew. Have reference to Treks past, maybe a cameo or two of crew members that might still be alive. But beyond that treat the Enterprise G/Voyager B, etc… time as another lost era.
If we're going to do this, then...
The Enterprise in the 33rd Century. That would be my choice. <-- Unpopular Opinion
Lower Decks doesn't cost anywhere near as much to produce as the live-action shows.
Dealing with everything relating to the galaxy Post-Burn and the different relations, growing pains as the Federation continues to rebuild. Dealing with the Emerald Chain, dealing with the... I'm not giving spoilers for DSC S5.I’d be fine with that. Then again I like unpopular opinions.
But to put my producer’s hat on, how can you differentiate that from things in Trek that had come before? Putting a story on another ship named Enterprise is fine but has done before. Being pushed into the far future is fine but has been done before. What makes it different?
The question is less of cost and more of available content I believe.
I don't know what you mean by that statement.
Your idea basically requires homework and at least a certain familiarity with plots and characters from 30+ years ago.
I propose a basic clean slate approach. A show that doesn't require homework. Pretty much do what TNG did in the 80's. Take the basic concept of Star Trek and go forward with it without too much baggage.
Google is your friend. You can find what I am talking about with the very first link.
TNG never required anyone to have watched TOS.
TNG had McCoy, Scotty, and Spock.
You didn’t need to have watched Trek to know what/who any of those are. All your missing are Kirk and the USS Enterprise of things that are/were in the pop culture consciousness at the time.McCoy, Scotty, Spock, Vulcans, and Klingons notwithstanding.

I also like the aesthetic of the Far Future. It's weird and out there, like it should be.
More to the point, it gets you further away from a time period you don't want, which makes seeing TNG stuff much less likely.
Well, obviously I feel differently about the (early) 25th Century than you... but it should be always understood that it's my Second Choice.Let me clarify my thoughts. I loved TNG. I loved DS9. Voyager was okay. Picard season 1 was really good until the end. Picard season 2 was lacking but had an interesting premise. Picard season 3 had some great moments but with a lot more that wasn’t what I wanted to see. Prodigy and Lower Decks have some great moments. But there are over 600 episodes that take place between 2364 and 2402. Not to mention four movies. That’s about 2/3rds of the content of Star Trek. I think that era has been very, very well mined.
I’d rather see another period explored. I’d love to see a show not focused on Starfleet. You have the Fenris Rangers, or any number of alien race or group that would be more interesting than just another Starfleet show.
But I’m not blind to see that that the 25th century Starfleet is what a lot of people want to see. I’m resigned to believe that what I want doesn’t matter. And that’s okay.

Kurtzman also wants a P+ every two years.
I think he mistakenly left the word "movie" out. Kurtzman has said he wants a Trek movie streaming on P+ every two years.I don't know what you mean by that statement.
Probably late summer or fall like it usually does. When is LDS supposed to premiere?
Honestly, you could watch Better Call Saul without having seen Breaking Bad.McCoy, Scotty, Spock, Vulcans, and Klingons notwithstanding.
I still think that my comparing Legacy to Better Call Saul is valid (Better Call Saul is a spinoff of Breaking Bad. How does one watch Better Call Saul without having seen Breaking Bad? How did Better Call Saul engage new viewers who had never seen Breaking Bad?)
