Would it be better if the Tea Party Republicans split from the Republican Party and formed their own party? Surely if they are that confident if their beliefs that those who normally vote Republican believe in their policies rather than the more moderate polives of some of the other Repblicans they should easily sweep into power.

Well, no, pure rhetoric aside, while it would be better for the rest of us, it's not better for the Tea Party itself, for it to split from the Republican Party. When it comes to projecting power, Tea Partiers are better off trying to take over the Republican Party the way a virus infects a host, and short of a full takeover, influencing it from within as best they can.

Just look at how well the tail is doing wagging the dog right now.

The British Nationality Act of 1948 governed Obama''s birth status when he was born. It was stated on his campaign website back in 2008. As for Cruz, no he is not eligible for Article 2 Section 1. From his 'Fight The Smears campaign website:

"When Barack Obama Jr. was born on Aug. 4,1961, in Honolulu, Kenya was a British colony, still part of the United Kingdom’s dwindling empire. As a Kenyan native, Barack Obama Sr. was a British subject whose citizenship status was governed by The British Nationality Act of 1948. That same act governed the status of Obama Sr.‘s children.

You are confused. There is no reasonable question that President Obama was a natural-born US citizen as he was born in Hawaii to a US citizen mother.
Not true at all that I am confused. I am privy to a lot of things pertaining to this. Sheriff Joe Arpaio's Cold Case Posse of the Maricopa County Sheriffs Office has done a 22 month investigation that found the birth certificate put on the White House website back on April 27, 2011 to be a 100% forgery. That evidence was backed by a independent court recognized forensic handwriting and computer-generated document expert named Reed Hayes from Hawaii. He has decades of experience with impeccable credentials. His report was over 40 pages of all things wrong with Obama's birth document and was submitted to Arpaio's lead investigator Mike Zullo. Here is the evidence in an affidavit by Mike Zullo. It is a stunning complication of evidence and it has been turned over to Congressman Steve Stockman and Ted Yoho who are working behind closed doors to get a investigative congressional committee together with subpoena powers. Their evidence now puts the official statements of the Hawaii Dept. of Health officials in question. So no, we can't at this time conclude that Hawaii was the true birthplace of Obama. Also a dual citizen can never be considered a natural born Citizen. The U.S. state department frowns upon dual citizenship.

Alex, what part of use multi-quote are you not understanding? You posted two posts in short order with the second one not being a reply to anyone in particular, just more of you ranting and insulting people (the latter of which you need to cut out too). If you do it again you'll receive an infraction.

Those posts are not consecutive so what's your problem?

Oh yeah, I forget that I am visiting the most poorly moderated and biased forum I have ever participated in.

Don't infract me, just ban me. A KKK meeting is more warm and welcoming than this joint.

Star Trek Fans, all about being open and accepting everybody, unless you have a different opinion. In which case, you can go fuck yourself.

My "problem" is that the thread was quickly becoming The Alex Show with your rants dominating the page because you can't or won't use the multi-quote function to consolidate your numerous posts.

If you hate the forum and the way it's run so much, feel free to leave. No one has to do it for you. That's just something problem posters do to create drama and put the blame on others instead of using that personal responsibility certain people are always droning on about but seldom using. If you want to leave, then be an adult and go, and don't let the door to the internet hit you in the ass on the way out.

Contrary to your tantrum, I didn't mention anything about your ignorant, selfish, insulting opinion before, and my two friendlies to you were entirely procedural and minor in nature, but now that you mention it and accuse me of bias anyway...

Oh, and your whine about Star Trek fans is especially ironic given some of the drivel you've spouted in this thread. You missed the message of Star Trek about as much as Ted Cruz missed the message of Green Eggs and Ham before rambling on about it during his 21 hour health care hissyfit.

You've received an infraction for flipping out in response to a simple mod request. Comments to PM.

Have a good one in case you decide to leave, but I think we both know that that's not going to happen, don't we? There's nothing attention grabbing in leaving on your own. We have to create maximum drama, don't we?

That would only strengthen the Socialist/Progressive Democrats.

Let's see you stand and talk for 20 hours without making a mistake.

It wasn't a hissy fit, it was a plea to attempt to keep this nation from going socialist.

Calling the ACA "going socialist" is quite a stretch.

As long as those people have other folks money to spend...

The well WILL run dry, it always does.

Just look at how many cities are going bankrupt around the country.

Calling the ACA "going socialist" is quite a stretch.

It's the first step toward the single payer option.
How? The ACA only forces the insurance to not drop people and makes it easier to get coverage. It's like saying that forcing businesses to not exclude minorities is socialism.

Bullshit.

Don't put words in my mouth.

He's not, it's an analogy to show your position in erroneous. He asked you to explain how (which you did not do in your post), explains what the PPACA does, and then explains why your statement is erroneous through analogy.

First of all, the nation has embraced numerous socialist policies for the better part of a century, and you would most likely be in dire straights financially without them. In my experience the most ardent libertarians, Randites, Tea Partiers, Constitutional originalists, and extreme conservatives are the least prepared to deal with the consequences of their own policy suggestions were they ever actually implemented in whatever Mad Max hellscape thought it was a good idea.

Secondly Newt Gingrich and the Republicans of the Clinton era were socialists? Mitt Romney is a socialist? Because the ACA is essentially the Republican's market based plan to counter Clinton's health care proposals in the 90s, and Mitt Romney's successful health care program in Massachusetts (which he later disavowed during the campaign to appeal to Tea Party nutjobs), which is why a lot of liberals who wanted true single payer universal health care (AKA: actual socialism) are not happy with it either.

Thirdly, I wouldn't stand and ramble pointlessly for 21 hours protesting a policy that hasn't even been implemented yet while reading a book about how it's silly to reject something before you try it, and completely misunderstanding a message meant for five year olds. That's not a mistake, that's an irony nuke. It's also just another sore loser throwing the ball away because you lost the game tantrum from the extreme wing of the GOP that's tried to repeal Obamacare 41 times.

I asked you to explain your position and then explained what is really going on. I'm not sure how that is putting words in your mouth.

Did you know that our military, our courts, and our law enforcement have been socialist for quite some time now?

Re: Ok Trekkers, Don't Forget To Sign Up For Mandatory Obamacare Oct 1

So is this health care thing going to be similar to what we have in the UK, everybody gets access to healthcare regardless of work, income or ability to pay?
No, we still have to pay the insurance companies. They just can't kick us off anymore. The insurance companies used to be able to kick people off for really any reason they wanted, usually because we required them. They like to take in money, but hate spending it. The people against the ACA are defending their desire to be money vampires.

So everybody still has to pay for medical help regardless, i thought it was all about bringing a free health care for all to the US, such a complicated issue when your watching from the side lines.

I assume there are doctors and hospitals somebody with no medical insurance can go and get help when they need it?

And i admit not getting the whole "socialist" things, goes right over my head that one.
