Hmm, Ancient Egypt with mechs, the Western episode, and a periscope with a Dalek eye on it... http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/dw/news/bulletin_120326_01/First_Preview_of_the_New_Series
The bit they filmed on the coast where they filmed the Angels 2 parter looks too familiar...although I guess it could be the same planet?
Skaro (maybe) looks interesting.
Where's all this talk of Skaro coming from? In order for it to be Skaro Moffat would need to undo the Time War.
Meanwhile, I wonder how many folks will think that a) that's River Song in the saloon (it isn't - though I had to freeze frame to be sure)

Apparently in the press release for the new companion, Moffat said that in Rory and Amy's last episode they meet their end at the hands of the weeping angels. So. Yeah.
I phrased it badly, what I meant was that the location looked too familiar from us having seen it before.

A the end of "Victory Of The Daleks" the new Daleks are heading for Skaro. And the officialy canon Adventure Game "City Of The Daleks" was partially set there too.
Also, Skaro was blown up (in the far future) in the Classic Series story Remembrance of the Daleks, not off-screen during the Time War. So, unlike Gallifrey, it's not Time-Locked.
Can't wait, looking great. I've never been big on Westerns though, I wish that they'd have shown more of the other episodes in the series. I guess that they intentionally showed the western stuff to excite the American market though. Cana nyone screen grab the mech things?
And enough of the cartoon gunshots already!![]()
Yea, I've gotten the impression the Tiem War was a series of shots back and forth between the Daleks and the Time Lords. Time Lords do the events of Genesis of the Daleks via the Doctor, Daleks, do something to mess up Rassilon's time period, Timelords strike back with.... So, really, without Skaro being Time Locked in all times, or otherwise removed from time, there's no end to how things may have changed if the writers so choose. Also, Skaro was blown up (in the far future) in the Classic Series story Remembrance of the Daleks, not off-screen during the Time War. Wasn't it blown up in 1963 when Remembrace took place? Still since the Daleks could manipulate time so I imagine Skaro was resurected (maybe a few times) . We have no canon that says that Skaro is time locked, the Timelords could have laid waste to it then the new Daleks went back there to re-populate the planet.

Because RTD, JNT, or any one of countless other show runners wouldn't 'ruin' historical events with silly monsters, would they?
