Yeah, I saw that.
Despite my team crashing and burning this week (and now we face each other in the final round), I'm pretty damn happy with my progress. I went from an inheriting an auto-draft team on the heels of a 0-10 sweep and in 11th place to finishing in 4th (and I was in 9th about a month or so before the end of the season, too). Granted the middle section of the leagues were pretty close.

Annoyingly, I have a pretty similar team in both my leagues, give or take a few players. Doing nothing different, I was in 1st the whole way here, and like fighting for 7th in the other one. Dunno where I went wrong, need to compare the two side by side and figure out who the big difference makers were...

I have a damn good team that collectively decided to suck last week, including Chris Sale and Daniel Murphy. Matt Olson was my only saving grace.
Ugh, had a 5-5 tie (which means I would have won) with like 1 player left to go, and ended up losing by 3/100ths of an ERA point in an eventual 4-6 loss. I'm blaming my work trip, it's tough to do this on a 6 hour time delay! Oh well, always next year.
And yeah, a keeper league has some interesting challenges. Trades are more important, always have to dump players you don't want to, etc. But that's part of the fun.

Fourth place overall, third place in the playoffs. That's a hell of a lot better than I expected when I inherited a team that had just been swept.

Entertainingly, I went back in to look at my team, and turns out I DID win after all 
Dunno if one more pitcher went for his team and gave up a couple too many walks, or if a scoring decision changed an and earned run became unearned or something, but the final score went back to a 5-5 tie, and I win because of higher seed/better season record.

How come our league didn't go for another week longer? This season had one full week of regular season to work from.
because the last week of the season is garbage time. Tough to have a championship game for us while the real baseball teams are resting players for the playoffs. Want to count on one more win from your ace when the team decides to rest him for the playoffs? the last few days of the season are brutal for that kind of stuff, so it usually works out better if the fantasy league ends the weekend before the real season does...

Ah, fair point. I was already feeling that in the last week.
I've got my keepers in...well, for the moment. I keep second-guessing myself.
Is there anyway to use the ESPN Pre-Draft Rankings system with the keepers omitted? I'm not seeing how to do it.
not really, other than printing it off and crossing them out. once the keepers are kept, the system will automatically show everyone left in their ranked positions, so it'll basically do that I guess. Just gotta wing it before hand. But even then, the first X number of rounds will clear out first, so there's that.
As we near the end, I have to ask: Timby, was Ohtani worth it on a fantasy level?
