All the way back here, I said this to you:You know, you could let this drop any time you want to whether he replies or not.
As long as the discussion is ongoing I shall add my input, as valid as anyone elses!
You replied:
Of course, that isn't what you've done at all. You've come back again
and again
and again
and again
and again
and again
and againI point out the irony of your hypocrisy! Stop replying and you wont be replied to any further!
and rejected all attempts by other posters to discuss your original post, offering only insults and taunting in return. I can draw only one conclusion from this:As long as the discussion is ongoing I shall add my input, as valid as anyone elses!
Not only do I not get the impression you were seriously interested in discussing the topic you brought, I think you may have been looking to start a fight in the first place.
Whatever your initial intent may have been, the constant string of taunting, insults and baiting which followed (and which I've quoted above) are going to earn you a warning for disrupting the thread. I strongly suggest you quit now, while you're well behind.
I further suggest that everyone refrain from any further responses to xan; he's not the least bit interested in talking to you -- only at you.
We are done with this issue.
I was surprised when young Kirk was driving a Corvette in the trailer. I’d figure, from the Nexus in Generations, Kirk would be riding a horse. I guess Abrams wants to make Kirk into a sort of Luke Skywalker. Though it would be cruel if Kirk’s horse ended off the cliff, so it’s better off showing him driving the Corvette.
I saw it in front of an IMAX presentation of The Day the Earth Stood Still. Unfortunately, after stepping through a hi-res version of the trailer frame-by-frame on my widescreen display, seeing a forty-foot tall version of Sylar-Spock brought nothing to the experience. And no Nimoy-Spock at the end.
I agree. I loved seeing Nimoy in it, but moving Nero's line to the middle felt like it screwed it up.I saw it in front of an IMAX presentation of The Day the Earth Stood Still. It was so awesome. And the one with Nimoy on the end is badly paced anyways, bleh.

^All the Nimoy clip is really "guilty" of is a slight drop of intensity, which isn't necessarily a bad thing at the very end. But with the Nero clip being moved to the middle, it was kind of like everything slams to a stop, and then starts racing again. To be honest, I think that the only change they should have made was just switch the Nero clip for the Nimoy clip.
Of course, they probably took that bridge clip out so they could make their duct tape disappear.![]()
Just saw it the trailer. It looks like your typical blockbuster movie trailer, not that this is a bad thing. Some nice character shots and externals. The young kirk part seemed odd, though not as odd as the Uhura taking her shirt off. Sort of disappointed that her contribution to the trailer is, "Look I'm in a bra!" Would have been cool to have lines from all the main character and every a shot or line from Nimoy.
Bana's character sounds weird. Not sure what accent he was going for but his line at the end kind of lost impact due to the odd way he said it. Might just be me projecting on Bana since I'm still pretty use to his Aussie accent after years on TV over here (he was one of my favs on Full Frontal behind my all time fav Shaun Micallef).
Also would have liked if the trailer actually showed that the movie was about. The trailer makes it pretty vague exactly what is meant to be going on.
All in all, visually it is a beautiful trailer and it does shout blockbuster. I think in terms of getting non-Trekkies to think about seeing it the trailer is good. I might get some of my non-fan friends to look at it and get their impressions.
