Anyone surprised by the trade was being willfully ignorant. He was never going to stick around from the moment the Sens drafted him. Unfortunately, they had ownership change and a general malaise at competing and they wasted the window.

The whole to do about this Team USA Olympic group chat and tampering is a weak argument. I'm not sure what the NHL's boundary of tampering is, but if its just a bunch of guys saying "hey, come play in the States," there's nothing there. This is more of a "I want to play with my brother" deal and because they are both MAGA cucks, it gets amplified.

Speaking of the Tkachuk family continuing to becoming the most hated in hockey over the weekend, Keith gets selected for the Hall of Fame after also being a MAGA lover and calling out his son's goalie, like it was some kind of house league bullshit. He is the epitome of the "Hall of Very Good."

Brian Burke also gets in after coasting off of the Sedin moment to this day. Known for being a giant blowhard, he gets credit for an Anaheim championship from a team that was built by his predecessor. His only trade of note was getting Pronger. This is a guy who gets by by inflating his ego to make him seem like one of the league's greatest GM of all time, when he should be remembered for the guy who threatened to beat up another GM in a barn because of an offer sheet.

Re: Brady Tkachuk, he is not his brother. Inferior player to Matthew, but still good. I agree that he was never, ever going to resign in Ottawa. He literally accomplished nothing during his time there apart from choke in the playoffs when he actually had a chance to do something

I'm surprised the Sens got what they did for him, I think Ottawa did very well

However they just turned the 9th overall pick into.....William Eklund? Good player too but not worth the 9th overall....prices are crazy right now

Also I think that means the Sharks are now going to take Stenberg 2nd overall being freshly down a winger

It makes more sense now than it did last week. I still hope they package the 9 and 27 picks and move up and maybe take Vorhoff or try to get a Legit D-Guy.

Yes Canucks fans are really mad that we some how still have every vet, but next years draft apperently better. Still a day to move up down or sideways i guess.

The problem is the place we have our best young players is defence and the 3-6(and it a range in which various scout have them anywhere in that range with a few up at 1 or 2) are Dmen and the Head coach son still I don't see a bad choice at 3 but the America angle likely means it's not Reid

Also I am really hoping the Leaf take Stenberg since the sharks are for sure taking a forward at 2 I could kinda stromch a Gavin going to the leaf if it met a bigger chance of a top two player falling

Also the Blackhawk trading the 4th pick for Byram so lol and now Byram is appearntly wait on Quinn Hughes and Cale Makar contract lol

There have been a few trades since Tuesday but I kind of expected there to be more. It seemed to quiet down some after that initial push Tuesday afternoon. It will be interesting to see what happens at the draft. I still think the Sharks should package the 9th and 27th picks, but it really looks like Stenberg is their guy to replace Eklund now.

Very surprised Habs didn’t trade their pick in a package (some rumours going around locally about a “almost insane” trade proposal to Columbus for Kirill Marchenko made it seem somewhat plausible—along with other trade options). Instead they seem to have drafted their own Marchenko in the rough (though that’s a longer term project than I expected). Will see what happens next.
