Addendum: Anyone catch the BSG (original series) references? Two of them, actually; 1) Herb Jefferson Jr., and 2) The Klingon BOPs fire with the Cylon weapons sound.

Jefferson's character also commands a "blue squadrion"

In contrast, thank God they only gave Grace Lee Whitney a few lines!

Just watched all three acts... I've got to say, I was left cold by it all. The acting and actual sets are superb, no doubt about that. But I felt the story was a little flimsy, the graphics weren't as good as I expected and the direction detracted from getting involved with the characters or the story...

I know I'm no Hollywood maestro or expert on film making, but I just felt it was a bit fanboy-ish... I don't know, I just feel that series like Hidden Frontier and its spinoffs, Intrepid and New Voyages capture the feel a lot better and get you more absorbed in their little corners of the Trek universe.

Hopefully this won't be the last effort from Tim Russ et al tho... It's a big universe and there's lots of scope for more productions
