Odo's Wit

Odo's character was transmfored into a pretty funny character by S5 (new humanism maybe) Anywho, I find myself LMAO at his conversations w/Quark, Chief, Kira, and of course Quark

Odo is definitely a witty, funny guy.

But I say he was funny a lot before Season 5. Like in Season 3 when's he's interrogating the perfume assassin and acting like he doesn't know what's going on even though the way he's talking and "playing dumb" makes it obvious he does. :thumbsup: Very great, funny scene due to Odo's facial expressions and voice intonations.

Yup. Odo and his humor makes a great argument for the nurture over nature people.

I like his first Starfleet log entry, when Odo spends several minutes griping about the humanoid obsession with collecting useless information, then makes his own curt entry: "Everything is under control."

I stuck a new quotation on as a signature tonight. Funny s7 moment, I thought.

I always chuckle at Odo's little joke at Bashir and O'Brien's expense at the end of One Little Ship. "You two appear to be a few centimeters shorter. A shapeshifter notices these things!" And when the two then panic and rush to the infirmary, Quark goes, "And they say you don't have a sense of humor!" Then the two share a very genuine (and for them, rare) laugh.

Odo was always funny.

Take this example from the S1 finale:

O'Brien: What was he doing in a runabout at four in the morning?
Odo: Apparently, he was busy getting murdered.

Odo was the police detective I always wanted to see in the movies. Love the sense of humor from my favorite changeling.

^Agreed! Odo was hilarious, but as the seasons passed he became less removed so I think the style of humor changed.

Odo was funny from the very beginning, usually at Quark's expense. Like the scene in "The Emissary," where Sisko has Quark over a barrel and makes him stay on the station, suggesting he be DSN's community leader, which Quark laughs at. Odo says, "Seems reasonable. You have all the character references of a politician." -- RR
