O'Brien out, Leno back in?

Hell, i'm only 33 and i FEEL old... i've even got greying hair already... :wah:

on the one hand it does "class up" my style a bit :rommie:

Kids today with their Green Day and Marilyn Manson.
What with pogs and oral sex in the Oval Office...somethings gotta give!

Now if you will excuse me, I taped last night's new Friends and want to watch it so I can reuse the tape to record the Olympics. I think Nagano is really going to pull off a great show.

Wow. What an extreme douchebag. And I agree, Conan NEEDS to show that during the last week. There's no getting away from it!

What Conan should do, because maybe he doesn't have the rights to that video, is say the EXACT same thing on Friday's show but obviously change the name.

I'm very curious what this next, and last week, will be like. Maybe Conan won't be going out setting fire to everything...metaphorically speaking...maybe, when all is said and done, he's just going to do some damn fine shows...

...nah. NBC will be a target.

Awesome.

I'm really excited about "The Phantom Menace" In a recent Cinescape article Lucas says that he's going to have a fully CGI character that will part of the "Star Wars" mythos!

Conan might be keeping the bear.

TMZ is reporting that the bear and other bits and who gets to keep them are still in negotiation. And it looks like Conan might get to keep them.

Which could be cool.

But, I think Conan and his staff could always come up with new bits.

I've been a fan of Conan for a while. THough the last time I remember watching him regularly was around the time Andy left. Partly due to working late nights but also that that his bits got overtly familiar and repetitive.

It seems to me that if all the people who are supporting him now simply watched his Tonight Show night to night, all of this would not be happening.

Well done sir. And to boot, when I read it, I could actually hear Draper's voice!! :D

Ironic, isn't it.

I'm guilty of not watching his Tonight Show regularly. Though, I did watch the premiere and a few other episodes. Mostly because I go to bed around 11:30...

Now, if Conan gets a 11 pm show...

I wish Hollywood would have more guts. It would be awesome if there were tons of stars that wouldn't do Leno after this, but we all know how people in Hollywood are.

That's been on my mind too, most of the Entertainment community seem to be on O'Brien's side in this but how many of them would actually refuse to go on the Tonight Show to promote their latest movie,TV show or book?..that also includes stand-up Comedians who are the biggest O'Brian supporters, would they also refuse the chance to do their act on the biggest stage for Stand-ups?

Some how I don't think they will risk their own careers over this and once the dust settles they will all be in that guest seat kissing Leno's butt.

I would, and I watch almost every show by "other means". But I live in Sweden and me watching don't matter at all.

That bit at the end is interesting. A non-disparagement clause, so he can't bash the network for a period of time after leaving.

I don't know about Conan, but I would have fun with that one. A countdown clock built into the new set. Random checking in on the disparagement clock. A big 10, 9, 8... countdown on the night it would "expire".

I know, I'm evil.

It's a funny idea, but it might back-fire legally. They could argue that the clock (as well as comments about the clock) violate the clause.

Also where would the clock be? He won't have a new show for awhile and NBC can't have him never say anything bad about them again. Plus NBC wants to forget about this mess and a lawsuit over something stupid like that would make them look like loser cry babies instead of lying rat bastards.

I think on the first night Leno has The Tonight Show back, Conan should be the first guest on Letterman.

also, by that time how good could his jokes about it actually be? it would be a let-down because the impending anticipation leading up to it would be unreachable as a punch-line IMO
