O'Brien out, Leno back in?

One result of this craziness:

I've decided to set a series DVR recording of Craig Ferguson's show (my first series recording of a late-night show).

Apparently he's contractually obligated not to talk about any of this until after September 1st.

I thought he's contractually obligated not to be employed on TV until then, I haven't heard anything about if it included that anti-disparagement clause...

On a side note, I've seen two reports that the Tonight Show did buy that car...

In that case I would definitely go on Letterman. Maybe Kimmel, too. Just to rub it in.

Hell, I'd be the guest reader of the top ten list for the first week, then the Monday guest on JKL then the Tuesday guest on Ferguson, wed on the daily show, Thursday on Cobert and Friday on Jimmy Fallon (If he'd have me).

Well, I won't be watching Jay's second run on the show. And I think he can be amusing at times (a lot more than most posters here, for sure). But his antics here have completely turned me off to him. I'd rather watch Jimmy Fallon than Leno. Yes, Jimmy Fallon, a comic so inept he can't deliver a joke without cracking up before the punch line. And I mean every joke. I'd be willing to be that part of his audience tunes in to see The Roots, not him.

^ His skits are pretty funny, and honestly, I root for Jimmy because he's the underdog. You can tell he cares, and that he wants to entertain, and he can be genuinely funny at times. I have a soft spot in my late night heart for ol' Jimmy Fallon.

^^^
Usually don't think too much of Fallon, but i heard his impression of Neil Young singing "Pants on the Ground" and it was one of the funniest things I've heard in a long while.

His skits may be funny (I've found them to be hit or miss), but anyone who can't deliver a monologue after seven months of practice has no place on late night television. But maybe he'll get better. I'm sure it took Conan time to fit into his role as host of Late Night.
