NX-01 Reference i nTrek 11

There should be a short reference to the NX-01 in Trek 11. After all it is the immediate predecessor to the NCC-1701.

Currently, there are no plans to include the NX-01 in Trek XI. That could change if fan opinion is strong enough, but right now, there's no indication that it will.

I seriously doubt fan opinion is going to get the NX-01 in Trek XI. If the writers have it in the script it will be there, if not it won't.

No Trek references that are not part of existing TOS canon. That's my preference and prediction. They are of course perfectly free to change or add to existing TOS canon, but the rest of the shows should be left out. IMHO.

If the Guardian of Forever is in the movie he should warn them about screwing with the timeline, while some pictures from Enterprise with Daniels are running on his "screen".
then say:
"I've erased those careless fools from history, they did not respect the timeline... cuz I am the Guardian of Forever yadda yadda"

Maybe a few musical elements of "Faith of the Heart" can be mixed in to the music as Enterprise leaves space dock or something.

Wouldn't mind something really subtle like that.

Oh, please God, no.

The public is at best indifferent to Enterprise. And the fanbase has already spoken... Enterprise couldn't even maintain Voyager's low viewership numbers, so that should tell you something about how much this film needs to give props to Enterprise.

I'm not saying use the song itself, certainly not the lyrics. Just little elements of the tune mixed in to the music. No one would really notice it that much, yet the ENT fan boys would have something to keep them happy.

I get the distinct impression that Enterprise/NX-01 will be totally ignored - as if it never happened. It seems as if the intention of the movie it to create a new starting point.

I think we need to try and totally forget anything that we have seen before and see this movie as a fresh start.

Again, no. If any preexisting music should be mixed into Michael Giacchino's score, it's music from TOS. Keeping the ENT fanboys happy should be the last thing Abrams and his people are concerned about going forward with this movie.
