Nurse Jackie and the Tudors BBC 2

I saw a bit of series 1 of Nurse Jackie, but lost track. Would it be worth jumping back in with series 2?
As for Tudors, it's not one I ever really got in to, but I keep meaning to check it out.

The last season of Tudors is good, especially the episode where
Catherine Howard meets her untimely but entirely predictable end.

I'm not sure... I know their has been at least one cast change and
Jackie has spilt with her lover and he knows about her family
But I'm having a hard time remembering series one, so I hope I don't have to remember a lot of s1 to get into the new series.

MY husband says I shouldn't complain that BBC America is now showing The Tudors, as it is actually a Brit historical show. However, why would American audiences pay extra to get The Tudors on BBCA cut up with commercials when we've already paid extra to see it in all its juicy uncut glory on Showtime?

It's a co-production with BBC, too, I believe. Also, isn't BBC America on a cheaper package than paying for Showtime? So they may have it without having Showtime.

I've never watched The Tudors but I like Jackie and enjoyed the S2 premiere. Oddly, I'm rewatching the Sopranos at the minute and making my way through Homicide: Life on The Street - the episode I watched on Sat night featured a young Edie Falco as a cop's wife. She was rather prominent this weekend.

Also oddly, RTE, the Irish state broadcaster, aired Nurse Jackie way before BBC the previous series, yet they don't seem to have scheduled S2 so far. Still, they're apparently starting the US Shameless already, this Thurs.
