I think I can confidently say that Star Trek XI is the best Trek film ever made.
It's really no contest.
But, I'll go further.
Star Trek is probably the best version of Trek ever made and has the potential to eclipse, even, dare I say....no I don't dare say.
Okay. I'll say it. Star Trek is better than Star Trek!
I felt this way that night, right after I saw it for the first time on Thursday night. But I thought it was just temporary euphoria and short term bias. But, now that some time has past--I still feel the same. And I think it can be backed up with concrete evidence. Honestly, has there ever been a better calling card, a more glittering, Trek-filled package, wrapped in popcorn munching joy, ever made before? Up to this date and time has a better two hours of Trek ever been shown? I think not.
There is nothing better on VHS, DVD, Blue Ray or film that would do a better job bringing in new fans, entertaining viewers the world over or representing Trek for new fans, old fans and even non-fans.
