Novels with ship diagrams..?

Hello again,

I noticed that some of the novels in series focusing on Trek Lit ships and stations have fold out diagrams, such as the first Vanguard book and one of the Titan books. How many such books are there with diagrams? Is there one for the Aventine or the Gorkon?

Also, what do you think of them? I personally enjoy them a lot. I would probably buy any 'technical manual' based on the ships and stations of the expanded universe.

The specs and diagrams for the I.K.S. Gorkon are in the back of The Brave and the Bold Book 2.

Thanks! On to my Amazon wishlist it goes!

I'm reading The Art of the Impossible right now, and I'm trying to picture some of the ships. The BoPs are pretty standard, I imagine, but what did you have in mind for the Cardassian ships? Is there a description of Ch'grann's ship(s) later on?

Although not actually in the novels themselves, there are detailed schematics online for several mentioned starship classes plucked from fandom, like the
Capella-class
ship which cameos in DTI: Forgotten History.

Afraid not. Ship design is not my strong suit. The only reason there are specs of the Gorkon is because my friend Tammy went ahead and did them up as a present for me, and I asked her if it would be okay if we ran them in a book and paid her for it. (She was, to say the least, surprised and pleased.)

There really does need to be a book covering the ships used in Treklit - a 'photo', an external diagram and a deck plan for each. More use than 'Ships of the Line 2017' or whatever...

It could become part of the content of the 2017 edition...?

(At least this reader might hope for that!)

That probably made her year! I'm going to need to get that book, because diagrams are especially important for Klingon (and Romulan) ships whose gribbly details never correspond perfectly to a delineation of "Those are the 18 disrupters, 2 torpedo ports, 5 access hatches, 3 shuttle bays, etc." It's more often the case that I end up scratching my head at the random bumps and sockets...much like the VFX guys used to do. "Does this thing shoot dots or beams? It's a deflector? So...beams?"
