No Merlin thread?

"A little short for a storm trooper" and it went down hill from there.

Buttercup was a complete ass to Westly for the first 30 seconds of the Princess Bride.

Spike had no soul. He was evil and he tried to destroy the world and eat her friends.

Contempt doesn't even begin to start how she once felt about her latter time lover.

"You can't use words like keen?" Margot Kidder's Lois once said.

Or my favourite (even though it was the parasite pretending to be lois) ""Why do i have to wake to the smell of burning hair every morning?" (heat vision for shavinghis beard.)

Although Clark did/does his best to make everyone think that he was a shmuck, just like Bruce Wayne pretends he's off his tits on booze 90 percent of his life.

If Lois didn't have contempt for Clark, pity him for being a wimp with a bladder infection, then Kal really wasn't blending in like was the overall plan supposing his secret identity. He intentionally underwhelmed and disgusted her at every opportunity to prove that he could never be Superman.

What's his endgame?

He wants to be king?

Morganna wants to be Queen.

And it's been clear for a while now that they are not sleeping together.

So is he going to double cross her at the last minute or slip a ring on her finger afterwhich they may or may not sleep in different bedrooms in Camelot?

If he doesn't want to be King, and only wants to extinguish Uthur's Bloodline? Then she doomed in that right as well, unless he only blames Arthur for killing his sister and Morganna gets a free pass because she had another mother?

i loved the bit when Merlin backed in to Percival's sword and complained at him to watch it, 'it is a sword and it does hurt, you know!'

i also loved Gwen's eyeful...

Another good episode, although could the Cathar have been more obvious when he spoke of Emrys whilst staring intently at Merlin? Luckily Morgana is obviously too thick to notice!

I liked Gaius's little speech when he gave up Merlin, and his speech to Arthur at the end.

And Gwaine got something to do, hurrah!

John Byrne wrote a Superman comic where Luthor programs a computer to find him the Aliens secret identity... When the Computer spat out the name "Clark Kent" Luthor went into a tirade about the stupid broken idiot computer, because there is no way that a would be god would pretend to be such a feeb.

The Cathar, was once upon a time T'Pol and Trip's Kid.

Dude gets around.

Morgana needs to make up her mind about whether she is afraid of the irrelevant serving boy or not because there was a moment were they were all shaking and pissing their Keks ranting like Paul Revere... "Merlin is coming! Merlin is coming!"

I suppose as much as your average murderer wants to be hunted by Nancy Drew and cornered in a dark alley, what's really going to happen soon enough is a reversal of fortune where Frank Hardy break's your nose with one of his baywatch powered fists.

She may not like him now, and she may be afraid of him later. but if he is the most powerful sorcerer who has ever been born... She will need to make babies with him to guarantee her blood line remains secure.

Up to now, I've just now been talking about sex, but really, how damn alien is sex without the whiff of an ulterior motive?

It was surreal seeing someone from the dire River City in my beloved fantasy world. Morgana really is the stupidest evil sorceress ever written. I'm beginning to like her.

And all it took was 4 years and letting her hair weave itself into a bramble.

Women in general, cannot be friends with other women who are prettier than are.

Since just about everyone I know is prettier than me, I'm an exception to your generalisation. It was good to see one of the knights doing something, although he appeared to have the totty role this week.

I'm still waiting for the look on her face when one day she tries to kill Merlin and he just flips her magic back at her.

Whether it will be better than the look on Arthur's face when he realises will be interesting.

Oh dear.

You've obviously subconsciously collected pretty girls to use as human shields in preparation for a Zombie apocalypse, or at least as a prophylactic against sleazy barflies when you go out dancing.

Very shrewd.

Speaking of tottie.

Why is there so little Gwen on the show these days?

Is the actress busy or cross-purposed?

After seeing him fight his friends the knights in the same episode he got bottled by a couple of Morganna's NPC thugs, I really have to wonder how much abuse he is willing to take to preserve his secret? there's no benefit to keeping his secrets to preserve his way of life if he's being murdered.

This kid can take out an army without the element of surprise or a dragon, both of which he's got easy access to.

You know who could find out in a really special episode?

Uthur's ghost!

Yes, I've had quite enough of Evil Uncle. He does well in an over the top campy sort of way, but this isn't the Adam West Batman. I mean, could this guy be any more obviously evil? I have a feeling the actor's having a blast with it though.

And good lord Merlin, why are you such an idiot? Morgana is trying to overthrow Camelot and murder Arthur. She's already succeeded in killing Uther and several citizens in Camelot. Kill her! You were prepared to kill her when she was good, so why won't you kill her when she's evil? You've had her unconscious two episodes in a row now -- just finish her off! It's going to be 100% your fault when Mordred kills Arthur.

Never mind that, he's had her unconcious two episodes in a row and hasn't copped a feel...

I can't believe I wrote that
