No Merlin thread?

Lyndon Johnson was a huge guy, wasn't he? I think he would have beat Castro. Obama, W, and Clinton probably would've beat him due to the age advantage too, the others lose imo.

Trouble is, he thinks he wins all these Boy's Own battles when in truth he doesn't. Merlin can never tell him this, of course, but it makes you wonder if he'll take someone on when Merlin isn't around and wind up getting pulped.

LBJ was 18 years older than Castro Roger, and only 45 years old when he took office. I was thinking that age would have been a consideration, but it isn't. Anyone following Kennedy would seem a little grandfatherly and I just got a little agist.

Lyndon was 6 foot 4 (tying with Abe as the tallest president).

Here's a wiki page on all the presidents heights.

Well he probably could have beaten that guy this week in a fair fight if Morgana hadn't prompted Merlin to intervene. And Arthur has proven himself in battle many times, and he's saved Merlin the odd times.

Unfortunately programs like this often make the mistake of the lead always having to save the day, and this is one of the few issues I have with the show. And yes I know it's called Merlin, but Buffy wasn't always the one to save the world either...

They could see Morgana. they know that she's a sorceress so they were fools to think that there would be a level playing field considering every week when they can't see the wo/man behind the curtain, when they know that magic is getting right up their arse being thrown at them from secret, so why make it harder by ignoring the obvious target!?

I liked the scene in True Blood this season when they're standing off against this witch cordially, ready to throw down when Anna Paquin looks inside her enemies thoughts and shits a brick as she realises that the witch trying to destroy them can just cast spells in her head and shit happens. "It's like, Christ! the Fight has already started! Pull Finger!"

Morgana didn't need to curse the sword.

She's a telekinetic and a telepath who can control time.

There's a thousand ways she could have fixed that fight aftr plan A failed, right up to an including having Arthur fall in love with the bloke trying to kill him.

A few years ago, Tony Stark got put in charge of world security. He was the director of S.H.I.E.L.D. Nick Furys job. Super spies with toys that made the GI Joe's envious and aroused. So it's Stark's first day on the job and he's made a plan to bust up a terrorist cell, and it worked. But the entire plan relied on him as Iron Man doing the lion share of the work, to which his deputy is reaming him about in the warm down "You can't create mission profiles that rely on you. You're not always going to be here, or we'll want to save the world at the same time in a dozen locations the world over. We need to know how to do this ourselves and well, or the planet is going to go to hell."

Uthur didn't really leave the castle much?

Arthur is still acting like a Prince.

Groucho Marx looked very like his brothers. They all looked quite similar. I thought everyone knew that.

Groucho, Chico, Harpo, Zeppo and Gummo.

I thought there was only three of them, not 5.

Until about 2 hours ago, I thought that there was 4 of them, not 5.

Harpo's birth name was Adolph.

Well that was a hoot!

Action packed, funny, everyone got something to do, and Merlin kicked serious bottom, took out four knights and Morgana! And all as an 80 year old man...

Agravaine must surely be blown now that Merlin's seen him leaving Morgana's hovel!

The best bit probably was Merlin's conversation with Sir Leon.

"I'm off to kill Arthur."

"One of those days is it?"

Great :D

Merlin already knows.

2 episodes ago they figured it out.

But if they accuse a noble without definitive proof, they'll get their heads cut off.

They've been through this before.

They thought they had definitive proof about some noble being a dick, but it wasn't definitive enough, and shit got real.

No idea what episode i'm talking about, but it happened probably more than once.

I think they have problems grassing Agravaine without having to answer tricky questions about themselves.

Finally Merlin's beginning to show his teeth. It was good to see him smack down Morgana in a duel. I was beginning to wonder if he would ever do more than be a nemesis by prophecy only.

^Yeah, and he didn't just rely on the same throw manouver, they added the cyclone which was a nice touch. I like that Morgana was actually scared of him, if only she knew.

The identity of Merlin will be revealed to her sooner or later. Her mistake would be to stop being scared of him. Big mistake.

I've made my feelings on this clear.

They're going to shag.

And I'm sick of waiting for it to happen.

The Morganna fight was nice, but I preferred when he turned the knights into a step ladder, but what was even cooler than throwing them about, was when Merlin was yelling their names at each of these guys who must have been petrified that he was reading their minds or something equally spooky.

So, "he is your destiny and your doom" doesn't mean "he's going to take your virginity and break your heart"?

Has Merlin ever had a romantic subplot?

We're assuming he's a virgin?

A broken heart rarely spells doom. We already know what she thinks of Merlin, so the idea that suddenly she'll reverse her decision and want to ride him like a donkey is a tad far-fetched.
