No Merlin thread?

Well this week's was fairly straight forward, funny to see James Callis being all rough and ready, but much like a lot of guest stars on the show he doesn't get a whole lot to do.

I thought the baby dragon was cute though  although did anyone else almost expect Jiohn Hurt to smash the egg in a crazy twist?

This last was a nice standalone, the pratfalls were funny, but hopefully the next one is more serious stuff.

What were the odds of the seeker of the last dragon egg bumping into the Last Dragon Lord? Sheesh. Talk about bad luck.

Are you compensating for the gravity of Tom Wellings ego?

He doesn't mean to bend time/space, it's just part of his charm.

He looks much better with short hair. He still has a slightly unhinged look, which is presumably why he keeps getting these roles.

I thought that Baltar would have been getting dead arms and pantsed by the rest fo the crew because almost two years ago, obviously during the run of the current series, Jimmy starred in a movie called Merlin and the Book of Beasts

Good lord.

Lauuuura Harris.

I love her.

You can't suspect less than that they had a party and danced on "Camelots" grave when it got cancelled earlier this year.

THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE!

I liked this episode well enough. A new Dragon is a sign of hope, though until they're able to reproduce, it's just a stay of execution.

Also, is it just me or is no one else tired of Merlin being the butt of stupid jokes and threatened busy work. It's kind of getting old. I don't mind a playful dynamic between Arthur and Merlin, but come on. Can't they mature the relationship a bit?

The only way that relationship matures is that Arthur stops joking and actually starts being an asshole, because Merlin deserves the stocks for his insolence and arrogance when speaking to his better because Merlin is a simple ordinary servant, or possibly if Gaius dies, then Merlin would take over the position, which is what he's been apprenticing for for the last 4 years when he wasn't scrubbing Arthur's britches surely.

You have to wonder at Arthur's density though. It was obvious that Merlin was driven to find the dragon's egg but the jolly king and his knights were completely oblivious to it.

No. Gaius let the cat out of the bag and told them everything. preserving the Empire is more important than Merlin's sensibilities.

They were on a quest to save the kingdom from being raped by a new dragon for the next thousand years, probably by making an omlet.
