Really the Voyager comparison doesn't say all that much about DS9 in my view because Voyager is, well, not very good a lot of the time. The TNG and TOS comparisons are more interesting (especially TNG seasons 3-6).

It is definitely the least compelling thing said in the entire piece.

I do think it's pretty funny how an obviously light hearted opinion piece is being taken so seriously. Perhaps he hit a little too close to the bone without even really trying.
