And then there was that time in the '80s when they tried bringing Star Trek back and didn't even use any of the original cast! Who thought that could ever work?

I hope John Astin can make at least one appearance as Abby's grandfather Buddy. I know he's very old and hasn't been in front of a camera in a while but this sort of role is right up his alley and it'd be a great chance to pay tribute to Harry Anderson. Abby's lost a father and Buddy a son.
