Yeah, I think the actors only approve the cover art of their likeness. They're probably too busy with scripts and books on best seller lists to read much about a character they once played for a year over 15 years ago. Could be wrong though.
At a convention though, she'd probably say "I think it's great!"

Q: Had DS9 gone on to film any further series, what would you have liked to see happen with Ezri?
Nicole: I think it’d be really fun to come back now and see Ezri years later, more mature and definitely with a handle on the whole symbiont situation, and much more confident. And I would be a captain, of course!

Yes, if anything, he looked like a creature of the federation. Someone who would follow orders without questioning them, a Javert of sorts. Ironic, huh?
I remember reading this article a while back where she gives her reaction to the books, becoming a Captain and her relationship with Bashir both in and out of the books. I guess David Mack gave her the books some years back and she was genuinely excited to hear Ezri got to be captain, a wish she'd joked about in interviews and conventions after the series ended.
There's nothing like becoming a fictional captain of three hundred years in the future.
Thanks for that. I`d be lying if I said I never wondered if any of the actors themselves wondered what happened to their characters. The franchise is so popular that I`m sure it crossed their minds once or twice - even if they really didn`t care. That being said, it was great reading de Boer`s interview.
I think it's safe to say that Robert Beltran doesn't give a damn.
Yes, that sums it up quite well.
Which makes me wonder why he shows up for conventions.
