Just to play devil's advocate for a second: Considering how much DIS has changed for season 2 (Pike, classic uniforms, Enterprise, traditional klingon designs, less shooting,...) it's pretty obvious there were the one or other emergeny meetings inbetween.
Just like with re-shoots: Sometimes stuff actually gets better when criticism is aknowledged and put right in a reasonable amount!
Also: CBS likes CBS All Access to continue. So far, their only real customer base is Star Trek fans. Even if they were disappointed in DIS (by, say, declining viewers), they would know that Trek fans are there and willing to pay money, so they can lure them with even more content, maybe more "traditional" (like, say, a Picard show). It's really the only option CBS has at this point: Either Trek fans hold it afloat, or they don't. But they don't have any other cards to play, so they go all in on their one chance (Contrast to, say, Netflix, which tries to hold a diverse customer base with wildly varying content).
Now that that's cleared up: Fuck these types of videos!
Valid criticism is one thing. These assholes are actually just trying to spur hate and outrage for policial purposes. Exactly the thing they always accuse all others of.
Wow. You actually watched that thing! Poor soul.

When they completely ignore the fact that CBS has 4 or 5 other Trek projects lined up to be broadcast in the next couple of years, it really takes away any credence to their statements.
Broadcast company's DO NOT continue to toss large sums of money at projects that are not making them a significant return.

It will be Fun Time! I'm going watch this for fun. I'm setting up a Fanboy Game. The more stereotypically fanboy, the more points awarded.
"He has a source over at Star Trek: Discovery that there are emergency meetings going on today" --> 20 points
"The fact that Discovery is an abomination of 50 years of boldy going where no one has gone before didn't do them or us any favors!" --> 5 points
"We'd still pay for Star Trek if it were real Star Trek!" --> 10 points
"Kill off Michael Burnham, which I think would be a really good start. You could probably win a lot of people over doing that." --> 20 points
"Doomcock's source is pretty reliable." --> 5 points
"Because STD hasn't been well received, despite critics giving positive reviews who I'm sure weren't paid at all by CBS to say nice things about their show..." --> 10 points for calling it "STD", 20 points for saying critics were paid, for a combined total of 30 points
"Compare that to The Orville" --> 10 points
"CBS definitely paid for views to trick investors just like they paid for positive reviews" --> I can't decide between 10 or 20, he loses some for piggy-backing on what he said earlier, so I'll go with 15 points
Then he reads comments from the peanut gallery, which I won't include in his tally.
So, that's a Grand Total of... 115 points!
