Nicholas Meyer Confirms Upcoming 4K UHD Release Plans for STAR TREK II: THE WRATH OF KHAN

With UHD just around the corner, I'm going to wait for the 4K copy of this. I already have TWoK on Blu-ray, yes, blue tint and all, but considering this is a new and improved 4K scan, I intend to wait to see it in its full glory.

Hi, can you tell me if the replacement came with the slip cover? Thanks!
That's a good question. I still haven't had a chance to send the old one back. They ask that you include ALL packaging. But it would be kind of bogus if the new version does not have the slip cover, and I sent them the slip cover with the old one. Could I get away with sending the disc and case back without the slip cover? :vulcan:

That's what I was wondering: should I send it back without the cover? Will they care? Probably not, but who knows...

Dozens of people including myself have received their replacement without having sent in the slip. And everyone has received a new slip (most in good shape.)

Sent my email for info, I'm assumming most of you are US so wondering if things might be a bit different north of the border.

How many of you got the free ticket for Beyond?

PARAMOUNT!!!!!!

Got a response this afternoon.

"This error is only affecting Blu-ray product coming from U.S. retailers."

Like hell it is. I bought mine from Amazon.ca and it has the glitch. Am I going to have to record the damn thing and send the video file to them to get my exchange? GRRR.

Paramount replied today, they accepted my claim that the disc has the glitch on it despite their earlier statement that only US retailers sold the glitched discs. They are sending me the return from the US without requesting I send the original back, which makes sense since they apparently don't have a Canadian distributor. So I guess I get two copies.

They are shipping it within 5 business days but with our current customs delays it could be quite awhile before I recieve it.

They did call it a DVD and not a blue ray but I assume that was just a brain fart on the part of the rep.

Overall, I'm quite happy with their response.
