NHL 2010/2011 season....

I know very little about hockey (which for a Southerner is pretty good) and watch it very rarely, but Go Preds! :techman:

Bah! Phooey on the Preds!

Go Leafs Go! Give us something to cheer for this year after being so brutal since the lookout. I really hope they take down the Rangers tonight. It's early in the season and it can't last forever but Toronto is one of only four undefeated teams and I don't want that ending at the hands of the Rangers.

Rick Rypien is a clown, but the fan is even worse. A lawsuit? Really?
A friend of mine was at that game sitting not to far away from the action. He said the fans in that area were mouthing off pretty good. Doesn't excuse Rypien's actions, but it does make it a little more understandable. And the lawsuit is ridiculous.

It's so nice to see the NHL giving legally blind people the chance to work as referees. :)

I'm as dyed-in-the-wool Leafs fan as they come, but Florida got robbed last night. Maybe the Leafs would have pulled it off anyway, maybe not, but it certainly seems as though the officiating is as bad as ever this year.

Wow...Just Wow

That's the first time I've seen it and how the heck do the officials NOT see that. That's cause for disciplinary action from the league. I doubt it will happen but man the Panthers got screwed.

Now the Leafs are starting to look familiar. 1-5-1 in their last seven, shut out two games in a row going into tonight. And their "almost" comeback in the third tonight ended their longest scoring drought since 1927.

Hmm. Where did all the hockey fans go on these boards?

I'd just like to say, as a life long Leafs fan that... I'm actually laughing every time they lose now.

I never thought Burke was the saviour so many claimed he'd be. And I never once thought Wilson could coach his way out of a wet paper bag. Of course, with the two being buddies and Burke recently telling the media that Wilson's job is safe, the coach is great and the players are the problem... Well, there's just so much to laugh about.

I'm still here, but I haven't really been following much of it this week. I've had to work and haven't been able to watch many games. As for the Sharks, which I did see the end of against the Ducks, they just look like an average team this year. Hopefully they can turn it around and with Jumbo coming back tonight (After the lame suspension but that's a different topic) maybe it can start against a team that hasn't won in a while.

Kovalchuk's awesome shootout attempt. ;)

Flyers dismantle the Canes 8-1...and it could have easily been worse. I only got to see the first period and Hartnell had a goal disallowed for kicking it in and Giroux and Briere both hit posts, and someone else (Carter?) whiffed on an open net.
