Whitney's been a disaster ever since he came back from having surgery. The Ducks may regret this one.
I am SO loving watching Nashville beat the Wings tonight. 8-0 so far with about five minutes to go! Arnott just had his hat trick. I wish that I could have been there for this one. Rinne doing some awesome goal tending tonight. I hope the Preds can continue to work this hard to make it to the play offs! GO PREDS!!!
Early word is that Ethan Moreau took a stick directly to the eyeball in the final moments of tonight's game against Minnesota. MacT says it looks "serious." 
TSN reports that it isn't as serious as was initially feared and won't require surgery.
It's very good to hear the all the news seems to be positive; it looks like everyone is staying cautiously optimistic.
The doctors said it was only a scratched cornea and bruised retina, so obviously it could have been A LOT worse worse than it actually was.

Leopold to Calgary for a 2nd, prospect Ryan Wilson and dman Nycholat, who the Flames just picked off of waivers for the Canucks.
Interesting move, gives them a pretty damn solid top six.
EDIT: They just got Jokinen from the Coyotes for Lombardi, Prust and a 1st rounder.
Everywhere I've heard says that Jokinen is a locker room cancer, but there's no denying his skill. Looks like the Flames, with their massive salaries, are figuring the time to win is now before they start cleaning house.

I'm kind of disappointed they've given up on Lombardi. That guy has some serious untapped talent, and is one of the fastest players I've seen. He just seems to be taking forever to break out of his shell. I didn't think we needed any more depth or consistency upfront. edit: not that I'm complaining about Jokinen: he's 5 times the player Lombo is.

The Caps might have had the worst possible luck today, and not because of any trade.
Ovechkin was injured in pracitce. He took a shot to his foot, and hobbled off of the ice in pain. No word yet on the extent of the injury.

I've seen him play, and if LeClaire stays healthy.... it's a great trade for the Ottawa. With the way Steve Mason has been playing this season, LeClaire became at least a little expendable
