Bloody hell what a pathetic road trip that was. Yeah they beat boston and had 3 extra points, but these are the Sharks. Expectations are way too high to accept only 5 points on this swing. The play was just terrible all around, except for the Boston game.

Canucks are all of a sudden looking like one of the better teams in the league. The new lines of Sedin-Sedin-Burrows and Kesler-Sundin-Demitra are absolutely killing it and Luongo appears to be returning back to form, 7 wins in a row and with Toronto and Montreal as the next 2 games that could go to 9 in a row. No big deal.

You know, maybe I'm weird but my opinion of the whole thing is that the what made the difference is Luongo's return. He just seems to have a way of making everyone else on the team play better. Even when he's not 100%, the other guys just seem to work harder and have more confidence in themselves if he's on the ice.

Next to no chance at making the playoffs and they give up a late first rounder in what is supposed to be a deep draft year? Comrie's unrestricted after the season. If they can re-sign him on the cheap then maybe it's okay. Just seems strange.

Well, I convince the wife to leave the Predators game in second intermission since the Preds were down 1-3. We were listening on the radio and cannot believe that the Preds came back and won 5-3! We felt silly but still glad the Predators won against the Blackhawks! Trying to catch what we missed on NHL on the Fly now.
You left with only a two goal deficit and an entire period in which to catch up?
There were a few reasons....the first was that the Preds were playing badly during the second period. Also, I had the flu for the past three days and still was not up to par and since we live over an hour away I felt like it was best to go ahead and leave to get home to get some sleep before work today. I knew that there was a chance for the Preds to come back but did not expect them to do it like that. Honestly, I was thinking that if anything it would be tied to take it into overtime...which I knew we could not stay for. Like I said, there were several reasons to leave. I am just glad that they won...hopefully going to win more.
Big game tonight in Hockeytown but I'm not feeling very confident in it. Hopefully the Sharks win, but the last time these two teams met at the Joe it was a 6-0 forgettable nightmare. Hopefully things get better tonight. I have to DVR the game though which is kind of a drag. Will see it when I get home though.
