Yesterday was probably the worst day of my life, as my father died. That Pats game was a little distraction and ray of sunshine on an otherwise dreary day.
My heart goes out to you.

My condolences.Yesterday was probably the worst day of my life, as my father died. That Pats game was a little distraction and ray of sunshine on an otherwise dreary day.
Thanks folks. Not trying to be all 'whoa is me,' but sports can really be a nice distraction and pick you up when you're down.

I'm so sorry, SmoothieX. I lost my Dad on September 19 (which was the day the Bears beat the Cowboys), and I've been in a perpetual funk since then.

Had to laugh at that one. It was kind of a signal that things were not going to go the Vikings way in the game. Figures that one of the few times I root for the Vikings (a win by them would have helped the Packer's playoff chances) they lay an egg.Apparently the best player capable of taking down Adrian Peterson is... Tarvaris Jackson.![]()

I know there's nothing whatsoever that I can say to make things better for you. You're in my thoughts, though. It's a rough experience, but you'll get through it. If you need to rap about it, don't hesitate to shoot me a PM.
Hope they can get an exemption from the no alcohol rule at TCF- I have a feeling the fans are going to need it.
