NFL Talk - 2010-11 Season

Well, no Rams game for me this weekend. Stupid Raiders can't sell out their toilet of a stadium.

I know the entire country is on pins and needles waiting for this Clash of the Titans, but we in the local area (I'm 83 miles from Oakland but still inside the blackout zone) will have to listen to the radio and imagine the glory.

Raider Nation my ass!

:scream:

Even though I'm not a fan of them, I'm surprised the Chargers didn't sell out this weekend either. What's up with that San Diego?

^Seriously?!?! If SD is at risk of being blacked out, then it's a pretty good sign that the blackout policy needs to change. If a normally sucessful team loses one game and is looking to be blacked out already, it's probably a sign that the teams being unable to sellout aren't entirely to blame.

Got the same problem here, my parents live more than 75 miles from the D but if I go visit the game is still blacked out because the local stations can broadcast into the radius even though they themselves are located outside of it.

Damn, only one week in and all my excitement over football season is already getting dampened by all the frickin' bullshit associated with the No Fun League.

Get ready for a blackout epidemic, kids. Blackouts draw attention to non sold out stadiums and will allow the owners to plead poverty during negotiations this year. We're poor; we can't give the players what they want=WORK STOPPAGE NEXT YEAR. Blackouts are good policy when you're pleading poverty.

The Lions must win. It's imperative. This week, at least. pets her lovely, playful, loyal half pit bull she rescued as a throw away dog running around the neighborhood whom all the kids adore and come over to play with.

Fuck the Eagles. :scream:

Fuck the Lions :p

Actually, more specifically, fuck my basic DC cable not letting me watch the game and law school giving me too much work so I can't justify going to a bar to watch it.

Michael Vick's first start in who knows how long. Should be "controversial"

Cutler has eaten turf on literally every single passing down today. He's also been facemasked (with his head rotating about 180 degrees) without a flag, sacked twice and bodyslammed at least once.

He's going to die today. :(

Woo hoo!!! Yeeeeaaa, Dez! Run that ball all the way!! :)

Poor Cutler. Now he has to get back out there immediately on offense. Seriously, though, the poor guy is getting beaten up badly. I feel sorry for him. His line can't protect him for shit.

Cutler's going to have post-traumatic stress disorder after today.

They seem to be protecting him now....by him throwing quick passes to get rid of the ball.

EDIT: And there we go. A potential solution seems to be afoot.

Now he's just passing it to the first person he sees not bothering to check and see if there are three Cowgirls standing right next to him.

Edit: 59 yard pass to Johnny Knox. That's what I like to see.
