It seems that, so far, the yellow flag is the Ravens best offensive weapon. That being said, with the exception of the running into the kicker penalty, the flags are being drawn because the Ravens are playing smart. The Receivers are getting matchup problems and Flacco is noticing them and throwing to draw them.

Holy Crap, the Jets just fucked themselves over

I don't think I've ever seen something so colossally stupid.

Wow, is Kansas going to be better than everyone was giving them credit for or is San Diego going to have a worse season than everyone was expecting?

Doesn't San Diego start EVERY season half-asleep only to pick it up in time to get into the playoffs and then fail there?

Vick wasn't excellent by any objective measure. He was excellent compared to Kolb during the game, but he still had flaws.

Vick made two meaningful mistakes in the entire game as far as I could see; when it was 3rd and goal and he threw the ball in a bad spot instead of running himself and when he couldn't convert the 4th down in the end. He had a 101.9 rating with 16 completions, ran 100 yards and threw a touchdown. How much more would you expect from a QB in one half to rate him "excellent"?

I'm not saying Davis is better than Smith, but one has taken 6 years and what, 8 OC's to develop and the other looks good in the preseason, but doesn't get a chance to develop

I'd argue that the revolving door of offensive coordinators is precisely what has stunted Smith's development. It's hard to mature within a system when you're learning a brand-new playbook every six months.

In other news, the NFLPA is investigating the Eagles for sending Stewart Bradley back onto the field after he got knocked into next week. I hope something comes from this, because it was absolutely reckless and irresponsible to do that. The guy couldn't maintain his balance and collapsed on the field, and then they send him back out? The hell was the coaching staff thinking?

Hey, keep that to yourself! I'm perfectly happy pretending/ hoping that this is the year that the slow start actually indicates something.... like a slow finish.

Timby, good for the NFLPA. Absolutely irresponsible what the Eagles did.
