NFL Talk - 2010-11 Season

That Bears game was painful to watch. 9 sacks in one half? That's unbelievable.

Now that's more like it, Pats! 41-14, four interceptions, one for a touchdown. New England dominated in every facet of the game, but most importantly, the defense really stepped up tonight. :techman:

Congratulations to Tom Brady for his 100th victory. He is the quickest QB in NFL history to that number.

In addition, the Patriots are the first team in NFL history to score a touchdown in the following ways in a single game:

1. rushing
2. passing
3. kick return
4. interception
5. blocked fg

Everybody have fun tonight,
Everybody Pat Chung tonight!

And the two headed running attack of Green-Ellis and Woodhead...whoa did I just say that.

Another night of watching White Wes pop right up after being leveled.

Go Pats!!

My Texans look like they are finally for real. Arian Foster and our offense are rocking along.

The bad news is our defense sucks. The Texans have socred 108 points so far this season, which is 4th best in the NFL, but teams have scored 102 points against us. It seems like if the Texans aren't scoreing 30 points a game or something they can't win.

The Dolphins made special teams coordinator John Bonamego their sacrificial lamb today.

Also, Marshawn Lynch has been traded to Seattle. Like that'll do anything.

Are they on crack?!?

I'm not actively rooting for Vick to get injured, but I'm sure not sorry. Rib cartilage damage is extremely painful and difficult to cushion against further injury. It'll limit Vick's mobility and his being able to whip left and right. It's his own fault for trying to dive head first into the end zone instead of sliding like other qbs. Limiting his mobility will cease his adoration by the idiot masses who annointed him their superbowl qb and were so willing to forgive everything. He'll heal, but he'll become irrelevant.

Very just desserts for Mr. Thug Vick.

He gives you a better chance to win than whatever the Vikes are sending back.

Pats should at least get Harvin or Rice out of the deal, not some 3rd round pick. Fucking Seymour at least got a 1.

Yeah, don't get this one at all. Obvious sign on giving up this year, after going 3-1, so kinda funny there.

Plus a 3rd rounder isn't enough. They were gonna give up a 2nd and a 3rd for Vincent Jackson, who's one strike away from a year suspension, but can only get a 3rd rounder for Randy Moss? Just doesn't make sense, unless there's more going on with Moss behind the scenes that we don't know about...

Something has to be going on inside the sealed walls of Fort Foxboro. Something doesn't add up.

Maybe Moss has pics of Belichick in ladies undergarments and threatened to go public unless they trade him.

I'm shocked... not only that the trade occured, but at the price as well. You don't trade your top weapon 4 games into the season. Even if he hasn't been his most productive, he's still a player that takes extra attention from the defense, which opens up other players. And I can't believe Bill would really let him go for little more than $6 and a Klondike Bar. There has to have been more problems between Moss and Bill than we were aware of, because trading him for a single 3rd round pick screams, "Please, just take him off our hands! Let him be your problem!!"

What in the world are the Patriots smoking? They're now going to be living in a world in which Welker is double-covered on every single play, and Brandon Tate (essentially a rookie) is the only deep threat. Oh, and they have superstar running back Danny Woodhead! :wtf:

(I really, really don't want Moss back in the NFC North.)

What in the world are the Patriots smoking?

And where can I get some?

I have a raging mancrush on Welker, but the reason he caught 100+ balls medium range over the middle of the field is because of the coverage Moss attracted. He's not a #1 receiver. Hate to say it but it's true.

So the weapons are now rookies Hernandez and Gronkowski, and basically a rookie Tate. And the running game is a guy with 4 names and a castoff who's built like a waterboy.

(I really, really don't want Moss back in the NFC North.)

Hey, Bill! You do know Minny is coming to Foxboro in a few weeks. You can't tell me Moss won't spill a few beans about the Pats offense...say that little helmet tug Brady did before faking the spike.

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!

I mean, I understand that the Patriots don't want to commit to Moss for after this season, especially with labor Armageddon coming up, but twelve more games of Moss stretching the field and allowing the rest of the Patriots' offense to actually function is worth a hell of a lot more than a third-round pick, especially when the team already has five picks in the first three rounds.

I'm surprised you haven't been out here, praising Bradford and the Rams more. I'm not saying they're Super bowl contenders yet, but they have been looking better than at any other time in the past couple of seasons.

Is there any word on when Sidney Rice is going to be back? It must not be for awhile, if they're signing Moss again. I mean, the move makes sense to me, given the state of their deep passing game, currently. But it's still a bit of a gamble.

As for the Pats' reasoning.... I can only think that the internal strife must be getting worse for them to trade away an arguably still great WR for lunch money. They must have something secret in the works, for another deep threat. I have no idea who that would be, though. When's the deadline?

I really, truly doubt the Patriots are going to trade for Vincent Jackson, considering he still has to sit out six games after he reports to a team and he's in a contract year and is waiting for a fucking ridiculous payday that only Jerry Jones will give him. If he'd make it known that he'd sign for something reasonable, like 4/25, then I could see teams giving up a 2nd and a 3rd for him, but he wants top-three receiver money, and he isn't even close to that echelon.

In any event, the Patriots' #2 receiver is now Brandon Tate, which is only slightly less hilarious / depressing than looking at the Rams' wide receiver depth. And it's colossally stupid for Belichick to waste a year of Brady in favor of stockpiling draft picks for a season that isn't even going to happen. Someone put Wes Welker on suicide watch.

I feel like a kid on Halloween who's just been told that after school I'm going to get beat up by a giant kid in a Favre jersey, a giant kid in a Peterson jersey, a giant kid in a Shiancoe jersey, a giant kid in a Harvin jersey, a giant kid in a Rice jersey and a giant kid in a Moss jersey. :(
