As far as the NFL is concerned... my 9ers should have another "growth" year this year... So, in the mean time I will cheer for Peyton Manning... and Eli too.
On a side note, supposedly Mooch (former SF coach Steve) tore a new one about Matt Millen of the Lions... I am amazed to see such a great man like the coach to tear a new one into another professional!

If he chooses to come back, the Packers can either activate him and pay him or release him. Given that the team is prepped for Aaron Rodgers, I think theyll likely gives Favre his release.
Yes, but I just heard on NFL SIRIUS that he may file a grievence if they try to trade him. I think he's foolish and the Packers are screwed since they have done most of the past two drafts with the notion of him leaving in mind.....
If he goes somewhere else it will tarnish his name as Unitas did with the Chargers and Nameth did with the Ram...going out on top, after that last season, is how I want to remember Farve. Not ending his career with the Panthers (as is rumored he would go to)

I heard the Panthers rumor on radio...I dont buy it either. The only QB who almost made it, at the end, with another team? Your Montanna. Had he made it to that Superbowl with KC, he came damn close, then it would have been great...but other than that, I can't think of QBs who went else where after a career with another team, and actually won.

Well, most QB's with a legacy care too much about that legacy to destroy it... And usually if a team thinks you're done... it's cuz you are.
Montana was a special case... the 9ers didn't think he was done, they thought they had something better (Go Stevey!)
Drew Brees might be another example of a top notch QB going elsewhere... but Brees is no sure hall of famer, yet!

^The only thing more disappointing than the Dolphins not going 0-16 (I'm sorry, I wanted to see it happen) was the fact that their one win wasn't that really close, really drawn out game against the Steelers.

That's about as far as I think they will get! Have they done anything spectacular this off season?
Nope. Other than the hiring of Bill Parcells there haven't been any big things going on for the franchise. Some key losses (Zach Thomas
), some solid special team pickups, but nothing that will catapult us up. We are in for a massive rebuilding.

I love my SIRUS sattelite radio because of the NFL channel on #124. I know more about other teams now than I ever have because they talk about all the teams...they will also visit every training camp starting next week. Plus they chat about news of the day (Farve's situation, Shockey trade ect)..
If you don't have SIRIUS I'd suggest getting it if only for the NFL. And one really good thing? Every game, every sunday, is carried..which is cool if you are traveling outside your city and the local TV channel isn't broadcasting your team's games...
