NFL 2025: A new era dawns?

John Harbaugh out as Ravens head coach.

Lions OC John Morton fired after one season. I think the average season of the Lions shows you what can happen if you lose a top OC and DC at the same time.

Harbaugh's agent said seven teams called expressing interest. However, since there are only seven current openings and the Ravens wouldn't be one of them, which team that still has a head coach is calling? Jets? Bucs? Dolphins? Commanders? Cowboys?

Dolphins or Bucs wouldn't surprise me. The Jets, kind of, because they're a perpetual clown show, but I think they're willing to give Glenn another year.

There is zero loyalty in the NFL, so it could’ve been anyone of twenty-five teams.

The Jets owner is too cheap to cut a head coach who still has four more years at eight figures per year. Same with the Bengals coach.

Of course, the ultimate Jets thing to do would be to fire Glenn and then have Harbaugh reject them.

Ravens cut DeAndre Hopkins. He's really turned into an average journeyman at this point in his career. Three teams in the last two seasons.

Guess we know which team without a vacancy was calling Harbaugh.

Aren't the Dolphins in a world of hurt being way over the salary cap and having no players worth building a team with? Unless they're willing to give the new coach full control to make it how he wants to.

I imagine if they get Harbaugh (which I seriously doubt), he wouldn’t settle for anything less than full control.

Though no head coach has ever won a Super Bowl with two different teams.

Matt Ryan steps away from the broadcast booth and is now the Falcons team president. He will lead the search for their next head coach and GM, and have oversight over both of them.

The Bears seemed to take a step backwards vs the Lions last week, and continue to look like shit tonight on both sides of the ball.

The D has been almost useless under Dennis Allen, he needs to go. Takeaways are great when you can get them, but if you can't stop a team from rolling down the field every damn series, it's not enough.

The Panthers had one job, keep the Rams from playing the Seahawks in next weekend's Divisional Playoff, and they blew it.

Packers are winning, so they'd be playing the Seahawks if this holds up.

Most random turn of events for a play -- Packers OL is an eligible receiver and gets the ball. Since he's not use to protecting the ball, it easily gets knocked out of his hands and he inadvertently kicks it down the field. It's all Bears around the ball so they should have no problem recovering, only they don't and instead knock it out of bounds. Packers ball.
