NFL Football 2009

No offense, but when your team wins a game, and they have to point to a game from almost a decade ago to highlight the last time that happened, not sure it constitutes "ruling" anything ;)

Sanchez looked good, though, and not sure what Brady's deal was, just didn't seem to have it this time....

Ya, I was gonna say...

Whatever, this was a much more important game for the Jets then the Pats. It's week two...whatever...

If they go 0-16 again does everyone and their mom get fired?
Roger Goodell drops a tactical nuke on Ford Field.

I really don't see this team going 0-16. Last year's team was a special kind of disaster. Pretty much 75% of it is gone. Only one guy that Matt Millen has drafted from 2002-2006 is still with the team. Detroit has looked bad this year, but Minnesota and New Orleans are going to make a lot of teams look bad this year.

Washington scored just 9 points on the Rams today. Detroit has their best shot at a win in more than a year when the Redskins come to Ford Field.

Man, can you believe I still have a degree of faith in this team? If they ever are successful, no one gets to call me a bandwagoner. :p

Does anyone remember somewhere in this thread where I said the Packers O-Line would rebound and the offense would be one of the league's best?

Nevermind. I lied.

The Raiders looked horrible today. They looked really good last week and lost. They looked horrible today and won. I'm confused.

Jaguars lost big. Thankfully not a division game, but still. :(

Not to mention it was blacked out. Sheesh, you'd think we were the Lions or somehting.

I do feel bad for the Jaguars and their fans. Florida is like one of the biggest football states in the country, after Texas and Ohio, so why can't the Jags sustain any interest?

Ron Turner must die.

The Bears finally have a capable offense, and the gameplan is "OH SHIT THE STEELERS ARE MISSING THEIR BEST LINEBACKER AND HALF OF THE OTHER GUYS ARE HURTING TOO." so Cutler gets to pass (and run for his life) on fifty snaps, while Matt Forte gets occasional calls.

Ron: Play-action works if you actually RUN THE FUCKING BALL.

^I was going to wonder why Matt Forte is nowhere to be seen in the Chicago Offense. Now I know. ;)

Love what the Niners are doing today. The defense on that last drive was just physical and awesome.

Denver won today, which is always good. Our defense looked good again, though I won't say that we've exactly gone against good teams yet. Orton is doing better, but he is still very scary- way too many balls are still going towards the wrong team, double/ triple covered players, or places on the field where there is not a living soul around. If he can avoid turning the ball over, that'll definately be nice, but he really needs to reign himself in a bit and get the ball going to the right places because he's certainly trying to give it away. It was nice to see the running game getting some traction finally. Dumervil looked awesome with his 7 tackles and 4 sacks! The thing that had me the most irritated last year was the fact that Dumervil was taken out and used for only 3rd down or high pressure situations. I like that they returned him to being on the field all of the time to provide ever-present pressure to the QB.

Not a Giants fan, but I loved seeing Dallas lose in their new $1.6 billion dollar stadium.

Anyone hit the scoreboard yet? :D

No, but every time there was a punt, it seemed like they commented on how close it didn't come to the scoreboard.

The Broncos inducted Shannon Sharpe into their Ring of Honor today, prompting Drew's offering about the game:
