NFL Football 2009

Does anyone think Peterson is grossly overhyped?

A little bit. I think the best RB in football right now is Chris Johnson. Hopefully it's not a fluke but man that guy is scary good. He almost reminds me of a player is disappeared by the name of Dante Hall. When he was playing for the Chiefs, it was like any time he had a clean grab on a punt, it was 6 points about a few seconds later.

Best special teams returning, for me, is Sproles.

Best QB is Drew Brees. The guy is amazing.

Best RB: Peterson isn't having a great season, and okay season. I would take him over anyone, except maybe that new dude for KC..charlie parker?? Not sure of his name..

I like Randy Moss at WR, but I like the size of Vincent Jackson.

I would take Gates over Gonzalas at TE...

Arguably one of the best fans in the league passed away today, Tim McKernan, aka Barrel Man to the Denver Broncos died in his sleep this morning.

I remember him over the years, wearing nothing but his barrel in all kinds of weather. He did it initially on a $10 bet that by wearing a barrel at the game, he could get on TV.

After he retired, his seats in the new stadium were about 5 rows in front of my sister's. I saw him at the games I went to.

RIP Barrel Man.

RIP Barrel Man. He was more of a face for the Broncos than Miles is, in my opinion. :(

Dear Bears,

If you lay down to the fucking Rams today, I swear to God I'm driving to Halas Hall and shanking every last one of you miserable goddamn gutless fucking assholes.

I don't think it's so much that Adrian Peterson is being overhyped, but that Chris Johnson was underhyped for the first half of the season. No one paid much attention to Johnson until the Titans got hot. I think Chris Johnson is the better RB, but Peterson's still one of the best. He does tend to fumble a bit too often, though.

I thought maybe Childress would bench Peterson for a few series today because of his fumbles and being late for practice (he obviously tried to be on time, considering he was pulled over for going 109 in a 55 mph zone), but it looks like that won't happen.

Go Rams.

digits has had too much football disappointment so far this season. And I want nothing good to come to Jay "dumb face" Cutler.

Someone want to explain who these guys in Washington Redskin uniforms are?

This just in from the middling ranks of the NFL

TENNESSEE TITANS WILD RIDE COMES TO A CLOSE, COLTS BEAT TITANS: 17-27.

Titans fall to 5-7

Young was off target on too many passes. We had one crucial receiver drop on a long ball that went into his hands and would've been a TD. Chris Johnson did end up with 110+rushing yards still however.

Maybe we can soak our wounds by beating the Rams next week.

Saints barely survived.

Not to mention that was one of the worst calls I've ever seen. I'm not one for people who pull the "refs" card, but really. It was just awful. And, if it couldn't be worse they weren't even charged for the timeout.

Add that to the afore mentioned interception-fumble and the Redskins missing a gimmine field gold, you can't help but wonder.

The Saints have struggled against a lot of weak teams this year. (They just barley pulled out a win against STL for crying out load.) Last years win was clearly overexaggered (Mostly impart to the new England SPorts Network) .

I think I'll go on record as saying the Saints aren't the best team in the NFC. In fact, at this point, I'm more worried about the Packers.

In fact, I hope the Packers draw the 6th seed. Win the Wild Card and then go to NO and win.

A Favre-Vikings/Packers NFCC would be EPIC!

Oh the Saints are better than the Packers, if for no other reason than the way they play against the top team. But yeah, you make a good point about how they seem to play down to the level of the competition far too often. I'd be more concerned with Minnesota, what with the way they seem to be more consistently good.

It's been a really good day of football. Raiders beat the Steelers on a late touchdown pass? Check. Miami comes back and beats the Patriots? Check. Crazy game involving one of the unbeatens? Check. Just exciting stuff.

Colts win again. 12-0. 21 straight regular-season wins. Great stuff. Their running game has begun to show life in the past three weeks, and I can see the team making an effort to run the ball more throughout the game. The Colts are already trying to shore up their weaknesses now while they can. The defense is as good as it has been since the Super Bowl run. There's still much work to do.

One quarter of the season to go!
